Got a lot of gritty gunk and corrosion to the plug tube and valve cover area at the #4 cylinder plug tube, essentially the area where the COP sits. Had the same thing on my 01 Cobra. Now my 04 is starting to get it, the paint is flaking off the valve cover under the COP, there is no obvious...
2004 Cobra, 28,000mi , recently put on 2.8 pulley and handheld tune.
Prior to doing the pulley and tune the car had K&N fipk and 3" exhaust. Idle rpm was always around 730rpm+/- , never had any issues with idle rpm.
I installed the pulley myself at home and changed out the plugs for NGK...
Anybody else have the paint on the plastic door skins bubble? I hand washed my car last week and all was fine, today I notice that right below the pass. door handle there is a spot about 3"-4" in diameter that has about a dozen or more bubbles.
My stock Mach460 has a odd issue with the volume control, frequently when I try to lower the volume it goes up. Sometimes it goes to nearly full volume and stays for a second or two before coming down even as I am turning the knob to lower the volume.
Anybody else have this problem?
2004 Cobra with 26,000 miles , bone stock engine, the car is only driven two or three times a month. Original battery replaced about 15 months ago. Battery replaced again two months ago after experiencing weaker and weaker starting along with intermittent battery light illuminating. Now just two...
I'm gonna do a Pulley swap on an otherwise stock 04 Cobra (already have CAI, Exhaust, HE). LFP and RPM sell kits that include the pulley, a belt, plugs, and choice of handheld tuner.
Any recommendations on handheld tuners? What about idler Pullies? Any suggestions on one vendor or another for...

My 04' has never been pullied or tuned, only mods have been 3" Flowmaster MidPipe, 3" Flowmaster Catback, K&N Fipk, and LFP HE.
Car only has 24,000 miles and since the factory warranty is gone I'm ready for a little more power, nothing insane but I like what I've seen as far as a pulley and...

My 04 has 20,000 miles on it, I bought it new in Feb 05 and seeing as how the 3/36 will expire soon I have a couple things I want to get fixed under warranty.
The car is stock with the exception of the 3" O/R Flowmaster midpipe and 3" Flowmaster exhaust, a K&N Fipk, and up until about two weeks...
I'm installing an LFP HE and want to reuse the factory compression type hose clamps in lieu of the LFP-supplied hose clamps.
Should there be any concern with reusing the factory clamps?
Had this posted in the exhaust section but have not received any reply's yet.
I'm putting a different o/r pipe on my car and already have mil eliminators, the pipe I'm going to use needs to have o2 bungs welded in for the rear sensors.
My question is can I just plug the mil eliminators...
My other post in the Interior/Exterior section went way off topic.
I want to hear from those that have installed the MRT kit on their cars.
I'm concerned with how the fender bracket doesn't sit flat on the intended mounting surface. The mounting surface of the fender has a lip that...

My question is can I just plug the mil eliminators to the car, weatherproof the terminated end, and leave the o2 sensors off, or do the sensors...
Got the kit the other day and have some concerns about fitment. I haven't called MRT yet as I want to see what others have experienced with the install.
The fender brackets appear to be just a little too big overall, and the lip that they bolt down to has a different contour than the bracket...
I'm helping my brother work on a project car and we have a problem with the fuel system, car cranks over, has spark, but won't start.
I want to check the fuel pump relay but the problem is that this car is a converted over 4 cylinder to 8 cylinder and the wiring is a mess. I'm not sure if...
Where is the fuel pump relay, in the engine compartment on the passenger side fenderwell, or under the drivers seat?
Anyone that has replaced one, do you have a part number?
I've had a couple different setups on my 04 Cobra and right now I have the factory cat's (less the portion of the pipe with the "H") backed up by the Flowmaster 3" catback with the included 3" Flowmaster X/? Crossover midpipe welded to whats left of the factory H-pipe (less the H).
Has anyone...
I have looked at the websites of the 2 most commonly mentioned Heat Exchanger manufacturers and I am frustrated that neither one of them have pictures that clearly show their product with the different stencils offered.
One site has thumbnail pictures of general product pictures but the links...
Story from the St.Petersburg Times this week, great line about a man, his car, and his embarassment of being associated with a little designer dog.

My 04 Cobra has 14,000 miles and the factory Chrome wheels have been a let down since new.
I have already had two wheels replaced by the dealer due to chrome bubbling around the lug nut holes. Now I have two other wheels that have large spots on the inner painted area where the chrome has...
I have a question for those Cobra owners who have the 10th anniv car or have added the CF shift boot, is the shift boot material essentially the same as the regular leather boot, only embossed with the CF pattern, or is it a softer material.
My 04' Cobra drives me nuts because the stock shifter...
2004 Cobra with K&N Fipk, Mac O/R Prochamber, MIL eliminators, Flowmaster 3" catback. 12,000 miles
Stock plugs are gapped at .043 , I have a slight hesitiation almost like a misfire at low rpms and throttle tip-in, all plugs look to be in good condition.
Would different plugs be useful?
My 04' Cobra has recently developed a slight hesitation at low rpm's, almost seems like a plug cutting out.
The car was bought new and now has 11,000 miles, and is modified with a K&N Fipk, MAC O/R Prochamber w/ MIL eliminators, and a 3" Flowmaster catback. All else is stock.
Out of...
I have an 04' Cobra that I bought new and initially noticed that when starting the engine sometimes the motor would crank for 2 or 3 seconds and not fire, if I turned the key off and then tried again it would usually fire right up. At other times it would fire up right away on the first crank...
