Battery Light Flickers On and Off

2004 Cobra with 26,000 miles , bone stock engine, the car is only driven two or three times a month. Original battery replaced about 15 months ago. Battery replaced again two months ago after experiencing weaker and weaker starting along with intermittent battery light illuminating. Now just two months after putting a new battery in the battery light is flickering on and off again.
Aside from a bad alternator what else could be a problem? How much is a replacement alternator for these cars?

could be your alternator on the way out but check to make sure the positive and negative cables are tightly affixed to the terminal

More then likely the alternator. Irregardless of mileage, Fords have a habit of munching them.

The alarm can also be draining your battery considering its rare you drive it. But I would bet your alternator is on life support. My alternator started to show signs it was on the way out at about 36k. Many have had failures under 40k.

Been there done that, I'd say its the alternator, but it could possibly be your battery. I would get both checked before hand.
