Just returned from the sand and took the L out for a spin yesterday. She sat for 8 months and ran great except for the massive vibration at highway speeds. I am assuming this is from the truck sitting so long without being moved an inch causing probably flat spotting, which I can't see by just...
I'm getting ready to deploy to Iraq and I'm going to take my laptop with me. I was told that I can just take my laptop and buy a tv tuner that allows you to watch tv on it. I have no idea which tv tuner to buy. The programming is the Armed Forces Network (AFN) and from my experience being in...
My autometer boost gauge on the A-pillar fogs up on the inside every morning when I drive to work with the window down. Anybody else have this problem? Is this normal?
Did you have problems installing the IAT sensor? I had to drill the hole bigger just to get the sensor in the so called pre-hole in the chrome tube. I had to use double sided tape to get a nice tight seal and to hold it in place because it will not twist in place due to the thickness of the...
Any ideas on how to bring back the shine on my exhaust tips? Tried polish and never dull and neither did much of anything. The exhaust tips have some discoloration to them from weather and heat. Any ideas?
I'm looking at purchasing the ZX750.1 mono class D amp and 08TS10L72 solo baric ported enclosure @ 2-ohms. Anyone have experience with either one? How do they sound?
My brother owns a 2004 Mustang GT with a Saleen Series IV supercharger installed on it for the last six months with no problems. Then a couple of days ago the car would not start so he replaced the battery and it ran fine for a couple of days with no problems. Then all of a sudden there is now...
This question is for those of you that have blown a plug. Was the plug that blew:
1. the original oem plug?
2. an oem replacement plug?
3. another aftermarket brand plug?
I see alot of people set the gauge to read their IAT temperature. Why? Can't you just look at the console above your head if your looking to get an outside temperature reading? For me my IAT matches the reading on the console exactly. Is there a reason for monitoring this feature?
My steering stabilizer from Rough Country came today. During the install I noticed that when screwing the supplied 3/8 hex nuts on I needed a torque wrench to just tighten them on the bolts for the brackets. Then when I tried to screw on the other two 3/8 nuts onto the stabilizer, only one...
I'm running a 2.75 upper pulley and I'm not sure what the lower pulley size is but the newly installed boost gauge is reading about 14 PSI and the temp outside was 54 degrees today. Vacuum was reading 18 while in park. Any suggestions on what the lower pulley size could be? I have no other...
Getting ready to install my boost gauge on the A-pillar with an autometer single pod. Did you a drill a hole in the plastic trim piece and run the boost gauge hose through the hole behind the trim piece and down the pillar to under the dash? Also on a 2000 L what color wire do I tap into for...
I think my lower pulley is either a JDM or JLP lower pulley. Is there a way to differentiate the two? It is a solid silver pulley with three bolts attaching it around the center.
Getting ready to do an oil change on the L and wanted some opinions on what type of oil to use. The truck has 87K on it. Should I go with regular, synthetic, or 75000+ high mileage oil?
I see on alot of sites claim that a tune is not required for an extra 2 psi of boost increase on a stock engine but I would like to use my handheld programmer. Since I'm going with an 2.75 upper pulley for now, which is my best option on a stock engine:
1. Install the performance tune with...
