Getting ready to install my boost gauge on the A-pillar with an autometer single pod. Did you a drill a hole in the plastic trim piece and run the boost gauge hose through the hole behind the trim piece and down the pillar to under the dash? Also on a 2000 L what color wire do I tap into for the lighting? Thanks.

Yes cut a hole in the stock pillar behind where you are mounting your pod and run the boost line/wiring up through there. As for wiring in the bulb you can either use an add-a-fuse on the fuse for the headlights/parking lights or what I did was spliced right into the parking light wire behine the headlight switch so when my parking lights are on my gauge lights come on. I will have to look and try and remember which wire it was and I will post it up.

I just swapped out the entire pod with the new one with the hole in it.

And here's the wire to tap into for the lighting...

The boost gauge is installed and I spliced into the dimmer switch blue wire with red stripe using a 3A fuse.

Good deal man. If you want the gauge to match the instrument cluster the closest go to Autozone and pick up some Blazer Xtreme blue bulbs pn 168nb and slip the green condom that Autometer supplies over that bulb and install it and it will glow almost exactly like the factory gauges

Well since this is a gauge question, I got my husband the 3 pillar column and got the boost, oil temp and air/fuel ratio. He's already got them in there but only the first 2 are working. Can anyone easily explain how to do the air/fuel? He wasnt 100% sure and therefore didn't do it, and cannot find anyone who can. Thanks.

What kind of A/F guage is it? If its just the lightshow one I would recommend taking it back and getting a wideband. A wideband is quite a bit more expensive, but the cheap ones are useless in these trucks.
If its an Innovate I know there is a writeup on installing them in the How To section.
