What type of oil for high mileage engine

Getting ready to do an oil change on the L and wanted some opinions on what type of oil to use. The truck has 87K on it. Should I go with regular, synthetic, or 75000+ high mileage oil?

my wifes 98 expy has 122000 on it..Still running 5/20 full syn in her.
my truck has 72k on it and still running 5/20 full syn in her.

They are both running just fine.

My L is an 01 w/ 86k on it and I use 5w30 Mobil 1

I have an 01 also with 111,000 i use 5W-20 Mobil 1

My old 98 F150 V6 had 250,000 miles on it before I sold it and was still running half decent. All I ever used was 5w30 semi synthetic in it, same brand, same filter it's entire life, if it aint broke dont fix it

I'm not sure what oil was ran in the truck previously and I'm afraid to go with synthetic if the truck has been on regular oil all its life.
