Bought this on Copart about a year ago and have been slowly fixing it up. I've got a soft spot for this era of Mustang. This one probably wasn't worth saving, but it's well on the way. So far, it's been set to running (and well), has a new top, interior, flywheel, clutch, transmission...
Thought I would share. I started mile racing in 2009; been to several Texas Miles and once to the Arkansas Mile. Blown at least 3 engines and never had a clean pass. Then, I found M2K Motorsports. They built the car for the latest event; can't say enough good things about those guys. Their...

Always wanted a convertible. Getting it next week, hopefully, its not too screwed up. Either way, it should be fun.
I recently installed a new driveshaft and had to change the pinion flange out for a yoke. I ended up screwing up the torque settings etc., but no big deal, the gears were whining like mad anyway.
Now the car makes a lot of noise on deceleration, and it sounds like it's from the rear end. I...
Hey fellas,
I am working with Inland Empire Driveline to make a custom driveshaft for the Cobra in order to complete my Magnum T-56 swap.
I was told for 1,000+ rwhp, I should go with a 4" aluminum or a smaller diameter steel driveshaft.
Will a 4" driveshaft fit underneath our cars? I...
Put in my own transmission I said... learn more mechanical skills I said..
Bought a magnum, cannot for the life of me get the transmission to mate with the bellhousing - I'm around 3/4 of an inch off.
Took the T-56 off without removing the bellhousing, and I was hoping that everything would...
Fellas,
My T-56 Magnum just showed up. I've never installed a clutch or transmission, so this will be my first experience.
Am I smoking dope to think that I will simply be able to remove the T-56 leaving the bell housing and clutch attached to the block, then install the Magnum in its...
Have an 04 Cobra that I mainly use for runway events and tooling around - full interior, IRS, etc.
Mods that matter include:
302 stroker (low compression ) w/ custom crank, billet rods, and expensive pistons stuffed into an 01 Cobra block (not Teksid :dw: (kaboom!))...
1320 Video posted this pretty cool video of an 1800 HP lambo at the Texas Invitational back in October.
The yellow Mustang is mine. :cryying: :-p

Just wanted to see if you guys had the same opinion.
Got a third brake light from LMR to replace my cracked one.. Jesus Christ that was pricey.
Continuing the general clean up on my car, and in the market for various stock parts. They're all too expensive. Don't even try to buy HE brackets...
Still haven't taken the stickers off, but whatever.
Here are some pictures taken by my old iphone.
Haha, didn't realize how fuzzy these were until I posted. Oh well.
Just ordered pretty much this exact car.
I wonder how close the match will be?

Sorry my thread is not as cool as Treynor's. :coolman:
Went to the Texas Invitational last weekend.
Car made 820 rwhp shortly before the event (added headers and cutouts). Basic stroker motor w/ Whipple 3.4 combo. For reference, before I did the headers and cutouts, the car did 166 in the standing half-mile. Was one of the slowest cars out...
Took the old Mustang out to the wannagofast LLC half-mile this weekend. Ended up running 166 mph, and developed a nasty rattle. Called it quits, took it home, and found that a mid-pipe bolt had become loose. :bored:
Fairly pleased, but after watching the video it looks like I lifted a...
Finally tried to put together a mod list. Also wanted to take pictures today but got rained out. So I got my goodwill purchased tripod and took some pictures in my garage with my shop light. Not sure if I am happy with them or not. :fart:

Did some detailing on the project 1998.
Background:
Eaton swapped, PI swapped, automatic 2 valve.
I started the car a couple weeks ago and heard a sound like a 2 year old kid wailing on a gutter pipe with a 2x4. It turned out to be the blower. It is at Steig getting a full port and...

SORRY for the shitty iphone pictures
Hello,
I have indeed searched, and discovered some options, but wanted to check with the experts anyway.
This is not for my 04 Cobra. This is for my Eaton swapped 98 Mustang GT.
It runs hot in traffic. Drives me insane. Has done this forever. I have my old Cobra radiator in the...
Hyundai Genesis 4 door w/ 5.0 engine
Yep.. So here are the excuses first:
1. Both races he got the move.
2. My car has 4.10's, and we went from highway speeds (plus I'm automatic so I really only get 110 mph max or so)
3. My converter was unlocked until 90 both times
So.. my car --...
Started out just replacing a few suspension components.. ended up cleaning the underbody up. Figured I'd share some pics.
Went looking for the lake here in Norman a week ago. Ended up on a gravel road. Made the car damn dirty.
Got it home and got to work...
