Hey fellas,

I am working with Inland Empire Driveline to make a custom driveshaft for the Cobra in order to complete my Magnum T-56 swap.

I was told for 1,000+ rwhp, I should go with a 4" aluminum or a smaller diameter steel driveshaft.

Will a 4" driveshaft fit underneath our cars? I would prefer to stick with aluminum, but I can't seem to find any information on this.

Thanks.

The OEM Cobra shaft is 3 1/2" dia. I don't think you will have any problem going with a 4" but I have never heard of problems at the power level stated with the stock shaft. Just shorten the one you have you should be good to go.

I would go cromoly.

How you been J?

That's what I'll do, and then I will never have to worry about it.

Good man, moved to Austin for a job and have been working. Bought a 2015 GT and Focus ST daily, other than that, there hasn't been too much car activity. Would love to make it back to Dallas for a meet sometime, but I heard the Coit/190 meet was shut down.

How have things been for you?
