Had a lot of fun out in Bowling Green at the NMRA Finals again this year! Fourth year in a row racing, fourth year it rained, lol.. got it finished up as always though. It was 1/8 mile this year, which was different, but got to sneak in a 1/4 pass:

I called up Danny at EDP and...
This is the off the shelf EDP race kit with the downpipe modded to poke out the bumper. Standard IC, 4" exhaust. 85mm upgrade turbo. At this elevation I could use a smaller housing to pick up spool but I think it might go fast in Bowling Green. Oh and this is an unsleeved block also.. boost on...
Had a blast out there. Little weather again, but it wrapped up Monday. Dragged my car out again from Colorado, it's a 2013 using an On3 twin kit with their 67mm turbos, TH400 swap, some weight reduction and suspension.

Almost ready for the yearly trip to BG! Doing the Turbo Coyote Shootout, checking out the new Grudge Night deal also. Hoping for decent numbers out there.

Had a friend that was delayed on the way home recently..
Here is all I know. Icy highway and a late night crash with at least one vehicle totaled. I heard all in both vehicles were taken to the hospital but may have just been a precaution, supposedly nobody was seriously hurt. Now for the fun...
Not much with editing vids but mashed this together. Was a fun year, some highs and lows. Has some of the better runs, skating at a no prep race, popping a motor, PB at the BG race.

Fun over the weekend at NMRA Bowling Green, Mr. SID297 filmed this, thanks buddy!

The next day with normal air I backed it up with an 8.90/157.7
Took the ol gray mare out east for some laps today. Julesburg, CO. It's the lowest track in the state at 3500 feet, temps were good and DA was only about 4800. This was my first time back since I blew the motor there over Memorial weekend due to not enough fuel. It was a great day, any time you...
Obviously not a fair race, but kind of fun to line up against an exotic anyway. This guy was NOT happy after the run. They're supposed to run 10.8 at sea level, DA was about 8500 feet though. My car spun then was missing a bit so I coasted from about 450 feet.

Had my '13 on the dyno today- this is SAE corrected at 6000 feet so a hearty 1.24 CF, uncorrected more like 880. Built motor, Fore fuel system, 6R80 with stock clutches and a 4C converter. Base On3 kit with 60mm turbos and a Pro M maf.

Anybody else playing with 'em? Hung a pair of QTP 3" cut outs off the back of the Hpipe. Getting 2.5 psi gain with them open, probably more if the feed pipes were placed a bit better. Sound goes from stock to awesome and not really that loud at the touch of a button. Haven't really seen it...
Just checking my options right now. I have a complete Whipple 2.9L tuner kit that is currently on my 2013 GT. Car is going turbo. At this time I am not interested in shipping the entire kit somewhere out of state. However I may be up for trading someone a 5.0 specific TVS plus cash. My 2.9 has...
Quick question.. I have a 2013 Mustang GT with a 2.9l Whipple, in the process of converting to 8-rib drive. Whipple says the Lightning pulley will come close to the correct offset but I could sure use a measurement ahead of time. I'm not sure which size Whipple they were referring to either...
At the track messing around this weekend. Pulled the over axle pipes and mufflers. Surprisingly almost no mph gain so the stock pipes and GT500 muffs do ok. Not something I'd want to daily drive though!

I have a car coming in tomorrow for valve spring swap. He has the Freedom Racing tool. I watched the video online which shows it being used with the camshafts out of the way. It can be used with the cams in, which is what we are going to do.
Here's my question. The cams sit directly on the...
Just wondering who's going out there and running what classes. I've never been to an NMRA race, don't really have an idea what goes on but it sounds like a good reason for a road trip and try out some low elevation air! My car will be driven the whole 2300 mile trip. We have at least 3 cars...
Not quite sure what's going on here. I thought LCA brackets were nearly a guaranteed improvement to 60' times. Not in my case.
Car: stalled, Whippled auto, 28" slicks, stock front suspension minus swaybar, rear suspension is Boss springs, stock LCA's with BMR relo brackets welded in. Stock...
Today was the maiden track trip of the fresh motor. It's a shortblock I built with the usual Manley internals, slightly raised compression, Boss exh cams and a 2.9 on E85. Stock auto with a 4C converter. (yes you read that right)
First out of the gate was a half track pass with a passenger...
My 13's engine is out and apart for a forged bottom end. 10,500 miles on it, 8500 with a Whipple 2.9. It has been a great motor for that brief time. It used zero oil unlike my 12 which drank oil for the first 6K. I ran it pretty hard, last time out it trapped 135 at full weight, 7000DA- about...
Or engine build for the picky- :)
No, the old one didn't blow up. My 13 has accumulated a pretty good stack of 10 second timeslips and I don't see its life getting easier any time soon. So after researching various options- used built shortblocks, new ones, building what I have I decided on...
Not really sure what's going on here so might as well start a thread?
2013 GT, stock auto with Circle D 2C, Whipple 2.9, stock suspension except Roush upper arm/ bracket. 28" MT stiff sidewall slicks.
The car's been running pretty well and has been 60'ing consistently in the 1.52...
