Hows car running?
Jus clarifying. justin said jake made almost 1000 HP with his setup on the tvs and another member said'l say what?!" so I assumed he wasnt seeing the 1000HP and thought maybe he was meaning 1000rwhp.
Jake makes 750rwhp through a C4. Although you cant put a fixed % on drivetrain loss with every different combo, id say between 20-22% for his setuo which would equate to 900-915hp which is a pulley swap away from 1000.
The GM guys have made 1000hp with a 2.3 TVS blower on a small block, BADASS03/Jake has gotten close to that number, and inch per inch probably makes more.
SAY WHAT...
lol...yea Justin said HP not whp. Even at 20% loss remember the blower uses anywhere from 50-100 also to turn it. With my combo though I think that % is less. I am going for 800+ this year though...
This is my car on 93 pump gas and only 18* of timing...
UPDATE: Ran a personal best on 10.13@133mph with a 1.37 60'. Stock engine, stock exhaust, stock lower pulley, 3690LBS without me in the car!!
Very Happy!!
Absolutely awesome!!!
1.37 60' is amazing!!
Great job Jon!!!
I need an auto.
I have 3.3 pulleys, which would be 20psi with a 6lb lower.
20 psi even with LT's? What's the saves psi for 91 octane tune?
If the timing is kept low then yes.
If you are in Florida why would you run 91?
Stay with 93 or better.
Limit your boost to 20 or less.
LTs will help to drop the boost a bit.
Here is a dyno graph of my car on 93 at 20lbs
I ran it that way for about 1.5 years on 17* with no issues.Yea in Florida I will always run 93 octane, but if I even move overseas the highest octane there is 95 octane in Ron unit which is equal to 91 octane aki unit in the state. That's why if I am getting a blower upgrade I gotta consider a plan B if I ever move back that I will be able to run 91 octane in my car. Also is 657whp safe enough? I would like to be 620-630 max just to be extra safe lol
