I thought I'd start a thread to show the progression on my 03 Cobra... To bring everyone up to speed (who don't already know), i've removed my 2.3L Whipple to make room for the "NEW" VMP TVS 2.3 Blower from Justin at VMP tuning. I've done a few things in between so I thought i' share with everyone.
Here is how the car looked with the 2.3L Whipple...
Whipple removed.... Nothing special.
While I wait for the TVS inlets to come in, I thought it would be a GREAT time to pull the valve covers off and have my buddy paint them DSG. BTW, theres no need to remove the brake booster on the driver side. All you need to do is disconnect the motor mount and jack the motor up. The valve cover comes off nicely. Just don't use the oil pan as a jacking point. (LONG Story :bash
I also called up Rob at Chiseled Performance and had him make me a rear mount ice tank. I'll start putting that in today. Living in Florida, the ice tank will help my car a ton!
Rob makes some NICE tanks and the quality is top notch!
I'll update more next week as I'm waiting on the new "next-gen" high boost JLT to show up. Can't wait to get my car back going again!!
