Hi everybody, I posted in the driveline section, but not that many views. Hopefully you can help me out.

Hi everybody,
I have a live axle and it's been in for a couple years. After about a couple thousand miles on it when I go around corners the rearend is making a howling noise, almost like a tire rub noise, but I know it's not that. I have an eaton posi in it with friction modifier + 90 wt.
I...
For those of you running the whipple and KB superchargers that are running 17-18 lbs of boost. Are you adding fuel to the gas? Running lower timing to use pump gas? What's the cut off point on pump gas with what timing?
I want to upgrade but I just want a little info.
Thanks
I took my car out this morning and on my way back I had to get gas, I had to stop at cumberland farms. It's the only station in the area. Any way the pumps were pumping wicked slow and it took 5 minutes to get 3 gallons in the car. I then drove to my father's house about 4 miles away left the...
I had the pro 50 and third gear sometimes had a brickwall to it, 6th gear also it seemed that I reallly had to go way to the right to get it in. I'm triying this Mgw shifter and it's sweet! Pinpoint positive shifts all around. It's taking some getting used to on the new location of the handle...
I wanted to post here also, The suspension forum doesen't always get a lot of traffic.
anyone experience tire rub with a solid axle? I had the stock tires on for a while and under hard cornering or going over an uneven grade my rear tires are ruubbing the wheelwell/crush panels in the rear...
anyone experience tire rub with a solid axle? I had the stock tires on for a while and under hard cornering or going over an uneven grade my rear tires are ruubbing the wheelwell/crush panels in the rear section of the wheel well.
I noticed this because I'm switching to 315 nitto's and the...
When I first got my car getting a decent average loudness type of exhaust was first on my list. I bought the Steeda, it was pretty good and it laid down 419.0 rwhp w/no pullies. When I did my solid axle swap I bought a new stinger system off ebay. At first I thought the loudness was awesome, I...
I've owned my cobra for a little over 2 years and I finally got a 2.8 pulley for it. I was amazed at the power difference and I also thought that was going to be it for mods.
I haven't been on this site for about a year and just a few days ago I'm going over all these threads. It seems that the...
I just got back from the dyno. I wanted to see the difference between the IRS and solid.
The last dyno I did in the fall was 419.9 rwhp / 396 trq.
My best today was 424.0 / 405 torque.
The conditions were about identical, temp and all.
The only other changes I made were going to a stinger...
I just installed a solid axle a couple weeks ago and I finally got my exhaust, Gt style Borla stingers. I'm running a panhard bar so I had to chop up the new exhaust and use peices from the cobra steeda catback to re route things. I got the pipes to fit just about perfect without hitting...
I can't wait to take it out! I have a little more welding on the subframes and check to make sure all the bolts are tight.
I installed MM torque arm, panhard bar and adjustable ride height lower control arms and HR torque arm springs.. The panhard bar and torque arm was a mother to install but...
I'm in the progress of switching to a solid, I have a couple of questions
I have an aftermarket differential cover and with Hr springs. It's really close to the spare tire housing, like 1" away. it seems that if I were to hit a bump the thing would hit. You think it's ok?
Second, not sure if...
I've never owned a street bike and want to get into it. I've ridden snowmobiles and quads my whole life and a little experience with a motocross bike. I'm leaning toward Honda because I have friends that own the dealership. I'm thinking about the cbr600rr, I don't know if I'll outgrow this bike...
