Posting here because it's probably not worthy of Smackdown (yet) but I'll take your opinions. It may be that I'm the ass here but I don't think so. Wouldn't be the first time...
Kid from 1000 miles away decides he wants my car and has to get a loan. Whatever. I make it a point to tell him...
This year I rarely drove my Cobra - too busy w/ other stuff. So much so that I put it on the block twice.
Today I took it for a 30 mile country road blast in 20 degree temps. Wow... I fell in love all over again. How could I ever think 20+K is more important in my bank account than this...
We went Xmas shopping today. This is what I came home with courtesy of the lovely Missus Eyes:
It was a cool 60 mile drive (ride?) home but I'll get over it. :-D
I've placed an ad here before but pulled it after getting tired of dealing with people who had no intention or ability to buy. At this point I've decided to scratch an itch I've had for quite a while: I need a 996TT. There's no garage space for both so the Cobra has got to go.
33.2K miles...
Prices on 996TTs are in the tank and for no good reason I can see. I realize it'll need more care than most cars but at today's prices, a guy can get a low mile example for mid-40s. It's not like it'd be a daily driver, either.
Anybody here have driving and/or ownership experience with one...
Early this morning, on my way to Seattle, I was the first person to this.
After first calling 911 I went to check the occupants - another guy had stopped while I was on the call and was at the rollover when I got there. If you read the article you know what happened and how it ended. What...
33K miles. Made 562/566 @ 17lbs after vacuum line leak resolved. The dyno guy told me had the car not spun near the peak the numbers may well have been higher - drag radials will be my next addition should I keep it.
I'm pretty sure I'm the 4th owner and nearly as sure the previous one, like...
Black, 6-speed, 20-ish K miles, stock.
I've already got a 600+ whp Terminator but the purpose for the Z is as a long distance commuter. I originally bought a '14 WRX but I hated that thing so I let it go cheap to some kid. I've had a C6Z and one thing I really liked about it was the highway...
Just got some garage room for a new toy. I don't want to spend a lot but this and this have my attention. I think both are overpriced and I need some more info on the first one which I'll get Monday when I see/drive it. The second I deal with tomorrow.
Opinions? (on these two only, please)
Pyle was a goddamn stud - loved his veteran moves.
MacDonald made Maia look old (when he wasn't on the ground). Impressive.
Cormier vs Cummings next. Can't wait!
The seller of an advertised 600+ (@ 19 lbs boost) Kenne Bell'd Cobra is now telling me the 435 whp (@ 12 lbs max) I'm seeing may be due to a change he made to the alternator (smaller pulley) after the 6xx pull he gave me papers for.
This makes sense to me only if there's belt slip - there are...
Bigfoot vs. Mark Hunt. I've never seen anything like this...
I could describe what I've just seen but if you're a fan you really need to find a replay of this.
Too lazy to find the article but our own LMURTHA, who was a teammate of both, has an interesting take on this.
Edit: Okay, fine - here it is.

A few months back I started a thread saying I needed a car to commute 270 miles, each way, each week. In the middle is a mountain pass that gets plenty of snow for a couple of months/year.
I was asking about ideas for a rig that would be:
- reasonably priced (~30K)
- decent to good...
I don't know how good they're gonna be but, with the new no-huddle offense, they're sure fun to watch.
Oh, and they're ****ing DISMANTLING Boise State. LOVE IT!
On an unrelated note, props to my alma mater (Eastern WA) for nailing Top-25 Oregon State (in Corvallis). Beautiful!
