Anything less than turbos is a letdown. It just has cop out written all over it to show up to the party at this point with a supercharger, which they are already late for. And a lot of insults being thrown around in here, I'll be back to see who is going to be eating crow when it debuts. Pill may indulge in nearly wild speculation, but all that is required in response is reasoned dialog to dispute, if you have any, not names and insults. I personally like running the wilder ideas through my head, that is where innovation can occur. So engage like grownups please, we are all enthusiast here, and would all probably enjoy a beer together if we happened to meet up at an automotive event someday. And no, I don't have any insider info, for which I came here in the first place.

Would Scotts car pass Fords 300 hr durability tests, and would it pass CA EPA testing?
Of course not on emissions, no cats.
On durability, it'd be interesting to see.
Last season his best pass was 9.20s and it was a 100% stock 6R auto, stock heads/cams/block with upgraded rods/pistons and a Roush TVS kit with upgrade to VMP
Gen2.
So a very mild combo close to stock.
Not really sure your post is relevant, I didn't bring his car up, but it shows the potential of the Coyote/TVS/auto platform.

So, just curious. Would it still be a "cop out" if Ford does the new TVS 2650 and it has more horsepower than the Hellcats?
Or, you just saying it's a "cop out" because the other manufacturers are doing superchargers?

They run the engine motor for 300 hours straight cycling it from extreme cold to extreme heat. It's crazy.

I was the one that claimed that Team SVT now called Ford Performance chose to build the 16 GT350/R instead of the 16 GT500.

Looking at the traffic here over the last 3 months, I can understand why. Advertisers are not interested in 2000 views a month...

The section needed content which was provided by the site owner. I imagine he would rather host a technical discussion about a future product and hear less about Pill's fan crowd that follows him around the internet.

Travis asked me to come home when I was finished elsewhere. With the Camaro on its last leg, I moved here to provide content and hopefully, help the section recover.


The sister site in question was the tip of the spear as far as info goes.

If you would rather the section return to a half a dozen "insiders" reminding everyone how stupid they are, let me know... I have other things to do.

Now, on to the technical discussion. If you want to get into my personal life, please use another form of media.


The PDI/TVS compatibility looks very, very tight. The dual brick intercooler will come in conflict with the port injectors on a PDI system.

The F150 has a taller intake, maybe to make more room for the D injectors? That will result in a lower tq number overall.

For a $150m investment and nearly 2 years in, I'm hoping for more than a supercharger.

So according to the photos that are out there, it looks like the new GT500 "could possibly" be the bodystyling off the GT350R car, which is fine by me.
I see it having a very similar chassis if it is not based off the GT350R car as I see the new GT500 being a direct competitor of the new ZL1s and Hellcats. (The ZL1s for track/road race/drag strip and the Hellcats for the drag strip.)
Just my opinion.
