Re read what you posted. Lol. Don't try to argue against facts, it's a waste of time.

Then you read that I said "we'd all prefer turbos but if this car is equipped with the 2650r it will be a bad ass machine."

You also read that I said a PD blower can work with a high rpm motor at which point i used Scott's car to illustrate the point.

Those were my points.

Carry on.

Carry on.

If equipped with a 2650 it won't need to rev to 8k. No high rpm needed.

Can it? Define high rpm motor. Just because something revs to 8k doesn't mean it's making optimal power there. Fact is cent and turbos are far better choices.

Whatever. My guess is whatever comes with the 2650 won't rev over 7500rpm. Doesn't have to with that blower, just extra mechanical stress.

Agree on the turbo. Centri... meh. Not impressed.

None of it matters at this point anyway because we dont know what the car will have.

Point is, any of the FI options would work perfectly fine (albeit some better than others) with any of Ford's current premier v8 offerings.

If everything he's said is correct the GT500 will have 5 motor options with choice of NA or FI, 3 transmissions to choose from and reverse the rotation of the earth even if the pavement is wet.
If it has 808hp, it needs the efficiency of a parallel or Hot V turbo system. I was precise on the output, "808".

The Demon makes 808 on pump gas and it isn't coincidence they chose that specific number.

Also notice the post claims the GT350 will be refreshed? As reported...

So you're saying a hot vee makes more power than a conventional twin setup?

If it has the new Eaton TVS 2650R everyone will be the opposite of dissappointed.
Car will be insane.
I agree Dominic.
I wouldn't mind the new TVS as well. As long as the new GT500 is a beast, has killer looks and sounds good. BRING IT ON!

A supercharged Flat Plane Crank?
I have serious doubts it is a.) supercharged and b.) a Flat Plane Crank. If it is 800+, it isn't supercharged.
Wow,.........thePill and I agree on this!

cost cutter!
That eaton is dirt cheap for Ford, and I bet they are looking to cash in on all people licking their lips waiting on this car!

Honestly.

Even if @thePill is 100% correct on every statement he's ever made...he is still the most annoying member on the forum lol

Annoying yes. He is correct sometimes and wrong sometimes.

Has anyone found out if a roots-type supercharger is compatible with the port injector of the new PDI system?

You don't know? This can't be!

Blower makes more sense on all levels since they can amortize the hardware costs over more models.

This news made me go completely flaccid. Idk why but a blower just doesn't turn me on anymore. Let's hope the rest of the package makes up for the lack of turbos. Nicer cabin materials would go a long way. Anyone else feeling a bit off now?
