Well, I had read a lot about Amsoil EA filters and thought I would give it a shot.

One advantage to me is that you do not have to oil it! I always hated oiling my filter due to over oiling or not oiling enough. I have seen oil get on the MAF sensor and throw off your tune.

After reading how the Amsoil EA Filters are made, how much more they filter out, and how you don't have to oil them, I was sold.

Anyway I always share with pictures so here are a few.

The filter I purchased replaced my S&B filter. Here is the part number I bought.

One thing I noticed was the quality of the filter media and the thickness of the rubber. All very well made.

They lazer etch their logo on the front which I tought was a nice touch.

I installed this on my Metco "Carbon Fiber" RAI. (They do not sell this kit any more in case you are wondering.)

And a quick shot of it on the car.

Sleeper... you the man... where did you get it, and what is the cost? That RAI looks great on the car.

If they don't make that one anymore, which one would you buy now? Thanks!

I would buy an aluminum MAF adapter from Metco. MAF to Air Filter Adapter, 2003-2004 Mustang Cobra: Metco Motorsports

And buy a Carbon Fiber heat sheild from this guy for $40.

yes, where do you get them at and how much
I bought the filter directly from Amsoil.

AMSOIL Ea Air Induction Filters (EaAU)

The retail on the filter is $63.05, but it's actually cheaper if you buy the "Prefered Customer" membership for $10. Then you get wholesale pricing and the filter drops to $47.25. But if this is the only thing you buy then it's $57.25 obviously.

The prefered customer membership lasts 6 months and you can buy at wholesale for that long. In case you wanted to buy oil or other products.

That is really cool, and it looks identical in dimensions/design to the S&B - except the media type, obviously. I just recently bought a brand new S&B too!:rollseyes:bash: I also have that Metco cover, but I am still not sure if I will run it, or not.

Shame that Metco doesn't sell that any longer. I really like how it looks. And the Amsoil filter looks to be very high quality, which is what I'd expect from them. Great looking engine bay there.
