Usually a few minutes. Plus I'm always looking things over under the hood.

I always start it and let it warm up for a few minutes, at least 5-10 minutes. I also give everything a check. Usually give it a quick wipe down and ready to roll.
If it is cold out, the car will sputter, backfire and pop in the exhaust until its warm. Cannot even back the car out of the garage. Car is on E85 full time.
This! When I had mine, in the summer it was pretty much start it and seconds later I was on my way. In colder weather, I would wait maybe 20-30 seconds.As mentioned, idling is completely unnecessary. Just make sure your engine temp is in the normal range before hammering on the car.
