So if it is internal gearing, what would happen if one tries to install a 2.76 w/4lb lower?

Would it last or would the heat be too great.

I think the eaton would lock up or tear up.

A friend of mine was chosen with his gt500. He is running a 2.6/4lb and steggy told him to use the stock 3" upper and the 4lb. Steggy said the blower would literally come apart with the 2.6 and 4lb.

I don't think anyone has tried (Or, documented at least) extreme pulley combos like that. A 2.65 upper/6# lower would spin around 22,000 RPMs, which really isn't that far out of range of what people are spinning Eaton's at now. I'd be interested to see what, say, a 2.65/4# combo would do on top of the SnakeBite.

My guess would be that after a short time you could cook a steak on it!!

that would be way overkill for this SB. that would likely be close to 25 PSI through a eaton. i think 20-22 with a great set of supporting mods would be possible.

So basically if you have a ported blower making 17psi, and you get the smake bit and run 17psi, you will be making the same power?

I'm thinking anything over 17-18psi out of the Eaton would be creating to much heat.

just for reference we just put a stage 5 on a cobra with LTs, accufab tb/pl, 2.70 upper that made 15.5#s of boost @ 20 degrees of timing and it did 535rwhp 510rwtq STD which shows higher than SAE numbers. this snake bite did this with no headers and in SAE numbers guys.

On my snake bite one rotation of the pulley made 1 1/3ish rotations of the rotors by the looks of it for people asking about the drive gearing, i believe stock is one to one and these are definitely the stock rotors

OP found an idler that with work on my aux bracket so my belt size will be different thx though

Sounds pretty similar, his car was making 17lbs of boost. You would need a 2lb lower to make similar boost, the addition of that would put you right at or over the numbers he made.

So if it is internal gearing, what would happen if one tries to install a 2.76 w/4lb lower?

Would it last or would the heat be too great.

That would be spinning the rotors fast as hell most likely. If a 3.25 made 17lbs of boost it's probably spinning those rotors close to what I'm spinning mine with the 2.65/4lb combo which is about 21k blower rpms. So I'm imagine a 2.76/4lb with the altered gearing would be up near 25k-26k blower rpms, probably similar to a 2.80/12lb on our Eatons.

That's what it's looking like, would be nice if Bob would come in here and finally speak out about it.

That's why I asked for the iat2's about twelve pages ago.

I think we have all heard enough about this SnakeOil and the drama/marketing games.

Well I just posted up My #'s for you guys, I did not know this thread would turn in to drama like this.
Like I said before I do not care about dyno #'s, when the weather gets better I will give some drag stips results so guy's can nit pick that apart. LOL

Thanks for postive reply's svtp.

If anyone else has some drama to spread please make your own thread, I'm just giving some info . not looking for a E-War

Haha I don't think they are looking to battle you necesarily...I just think some of them are still pissed from Bob's last thread which was a bunch of BS.

If you're happy with your results than that's all that counts!

It wasn't your fault by any means man, and I don't think anybody was trying to bash you at all. You were unfortunately just the first one to post up any kind of numbers and real world on this Snakebite shitstorm that Bob started. Those are some stout numbers for an Eaton and I'm sure you're very happy with it.

I want some1 with a snakebite to take the front snout off and see if the rotors and/or gears are new or machined differently.. I have a eaton coming in the mail so I can take it apart post some pics of rotors and gears up so if some1 will kindly do that with the snakebite before it goes on there car that would be great..
