What made you join SVTPerformance and why do you stay?

I was active initially on Corral and a local forum. Corral is garbage and overrun with scammers and their layout is terrible. The local forum got overrun with spammers. SVTP has good content, a good layout, and knowledgeable people.

I stay because of the relationships formed with people like Cobra0694, 13Cobra, Zhisel, Zemidici, 2kBlackGT, DHG, GTpremi, SCrew Rice, and many others.

Same reasons as you, when I was truly searching for my first cobra I joined up and started researching what worked and what didnt. Nowadays I offer technical advice and help guys out.

I stay now because as you said I've formed actual friendships with a lot of you guys.

Deceptive, 13Cobra, Brad, Zhisel, DHG, Sinister04L, jeffh, zyborg, AND KYLE etc etc etc

Market is always a good place to hang out too!

I joined back in 08 when I had my 01 Cobra. Boss recommended it. I was looking, reading, learning etc. I used to only use local forums or Mustangforums. Needless to say most other forums don't compare to this one at all. The staff here and quite a few users seem like cool people. The layout I like I learn a lot and you can bs. Way better than other social media too imho. I think this site is ran well.

Brad told me that I had to stay.

I think I had lurked on here for answers a few times, decided to ask a question so I needed an account.

It's my favorite forum I've been a part of.

EDIT: But let's be honest. We're all here for the memes.

Former LS1Tech guy here and I remember when SVT had a horrible reputation. Now it seems the tide has turned. Maybe SVT has gotten better moderators.

Either way, after I got the '13, I looked around to see which site had the best knowledge and, well, here I am.

I enjoy the non-technical aspects also.

Joined back in 2004 when I had an LT1 Trans Am. Wanted to see what I was up against with the 03/04 cars. Hilarious, I know. Went through a few f-bodies (LS1tech for a long time as well), was away from cars a bit, go back into them, got a Mustang, have since sold it, but I will absolutely buy another Mustang when I am in a position in the future. I really liked the car I had.

I stay/lurk because a lot of threads crack me up and I enjoy reading.

I am an idiot and break things on my car and people here tolerate me asking how to fix them.
I assumed I made friends too - but nobody lists me as a friend - so, that part is shit.
I like helping people that I can help and ridiculing the less fortunate.
The content is brutal and honest - good answers when needed and if you are a jackass people let you know.
This is kinda a virtual "polite society"... with dick jokes, cars, bewbs in the wife thread and a thread of guns and porn...
I couldn't leave now even if I wanted to.

Same as quite a few others, I was looking at buying a Cobra and did some research on them and it led me to hear. Quite a few threads have been very helpful in modifying my car and I've bought a few parts from the market.

The non-Mustang related discussions are also entertaining to me.

Screw both you for not giving me props, lol.

Originally came here when I need more detailed info on B to C head conversions when I had my Mark VIII. Lurked for years then had to ask questions and got sucked in. Plus no other site is as entertaining. Where else can a question about, say a tie/belt, turn into 8 pages and go racial, lol.

Corral is garbage and overrun with scammers.

Funny you say that and I won't even go into it but I was scammed on there. Bought a controller for my old F150 for an e-fan and the guy told me it was "brand new". I got it, and it didn't work. He said it's been more than 90 days and he can't return it but the shop or myself must have burned it up. I searched and found him trying to sell it from 2 years earlier! My guess is it never worked. I confronted him about it and he went nuts with this huge long PM. It was worth the $150 I spend on the bad controller to never talk to him again. I am 95% sure he cross wired it, it never worked and then he passed it off as new.

Sorry to get of track, but the reason I stay is a lot of different personalities and it gets fun when the back and forth starts. Diverse topics and helpful and knowledgable people. The "regulars" around here are a lot of fun

Joined in 05 but lurked at least a year prior to that. (Got my 01 in HS in 03)

I'm apart of other forums but svtp is home. In the 12 years i have been here i have never not found what i was looking for. There are also lots of good people on thus site. I will say SVTP has evolved over the years. Definitely saw plenty of drama and plenty of complete retards come and go.

I joined up 2 years ago when I bought my 12 boss. I was looking for knowledge and experience with these cars and found a much larger pool than the boss specific forum. Then I to know a few people on here and really like reading different points of view...even if they don't coincide with mine. Plus gotta love the joke of the day. I share those with my family and in laws as a daily pick me up....great great place

I bought my Cobra from the Market Section on here. I was a member before that though. I get a lot of good information, entertainment from this website as I'm sure a great many of us do. It's a nice format. I used to be on Stangnet but moved over from there to here.

It's a great site with a lot of good people on it.

I like this forum because of the knowledge between everyone here and their experiences. I get good laughs out of this forum and some facepalms but BS aside this place is great for tech support. I came from caFords and was more of a lurker there but it was just crap
