They aren't mine either. Did deadlifts this morning before work and believe those can get my heart rate up faster than running or anything else for that matter.
Definitely bro. It's funny how lifting stuff can sometimes take your breath away. Especially heavy stuff.
My cardio and endurance has improved quite a bit since I started doing heavier lifts, deadlifts etc. I had taken sometime off from running the previous year due to injuries, lower leg/foot/ankle and getting back to previous form had been a real ass kicker. However since getting serious on deads, squats etc I noticed a big improvement in my running. I am very happy!
That's awesome Dave. Deadlifts and squats work your core and help your body support itself. They should be staples in anyone that works out in my opinion.
I’m in the beginning of my 2nd week back working out after a break of about 3 years. The combination of being weak as hell, having no stamina, and the extreme soreness is terrible.
For strength - Pause Front Squats 4x6 Hang Snatches into Overhead Squats For cardio - 10 rounds Sled push/pulls Wall Balls #25 x 10 Toes to bar x 10 Took me over 2 hours lol
I only do 3 exercises Dave. Close grip bench (great for building size) Make sure thumbs are over bar. Skull Crushers (great for building size/sculpting) Make sure thumbs are over bar. Triceps Kickbacks (great for building size/sculpting)
Thank you Tony! I am always curious as to what others are doing and what's working for them. I primarily stick to dips for triceps, be kinda lazy in that dept.
Doing this later 1.5 mile goal pace 4x quarter mile goal pace 4x 400m sprint May throw in some 200m as well. Then legs. Probably gonna do some box jumps, walking dumbbell lunges and straight leg deads. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
lol Absolutely brother!! Gotta work on the gut a little. (46 years old will do that to you. lol) I have to cut back on the food intake. But once the warm comes back, I'll be outside a lot more cleaning the yard and such.
