My dream car was the new edge mustang GT convertible, Black with a black top. I fell in love with them back in 98 when pics where released of what the 99+ would look like (before they actually came out).... when I was able to buy one. i kind of lost interest.... but it eventually came back years... so I bought eventually buy my black GT with black top!...learned more about them.... then spent the cost of 2 terminators cloning one...

I was 15 when the Ferrari F40 came out and I fell in love. Always been one of my favorites and always will be, although I doubt I'll ever own one. My other favorite is a '69 Boss 429 but I'll never own one of those either. Although I will most likely own my own version of one at some point.

I do love the Duesenbergs. ACD Museum in Auburn Indiana is a sight to see.

Black Lincoln Mark III for me. And yes, I would still love to get my hands on one. Better yet would be a 56 Mark II

My grandpa owned 2 yellow Lincoln Mark III's. 1969 with a blue 460 under the hood. He sold one, seized the engine on the other and my parents sold it for $100 :bash:

Good topic....I graduated from high school in 96. Besides the obvious (which I won't ever be able to afford) F 40, Diablo, 959....I fell in love with a black, porno red interior, 1990 Mustang GT. The car had been used as a show car full JL Audio system, flow masters, hypertech chip, 3.73s, ARE five star wheels...it even had red neon lights under it. I remember the guy wanted 6500. A friend of a friend ended up getting to it first. He drove it for a summer then I missed my chance at buying it again when he sold it to a real good friend of mine. For a couple of summers we had a lot of fun in that car, he drove the hell out of it. Then he spun it on the high way, made a shitty attempt at repairing it and then stored it for the next 10 plus years. He finally got married and the wife told him it had to go....he ended up selling it about 3 years ago to another friend of a friend who has begun stripping it down and plans on throwing a carbureted 306 in it. The best part of this story is I never got to drive that car when my friend owned it. But when he sold it the other guy (current owner), before he started stripping it down, that guy let me drive it. It just wasn't the same. Clutch was sloppy, shifter was lose, I could barely get it in 3rd,....it was a shell of what it once was....kinda of like that hot girl you wanted in high school then you see her 10-15 years later and shes fat with 3 kids.....anyway that's my story.

Great topic.

For me, it was the C5 FRC/Z06. First time i saw one on the freeway, i couldnt stop looking at DAT ASS lol. Still a beautiful car to this day, but dated as hell inside. A close 2nd are the new edge mustangs-especially the Terminator, which is epic.

I've already owned an '04 Z06 and four different variants of the new edge. Next up is either a C6 Z06 or a C7.

I wanted a Camaro when I was a teen. So I did what I had to to get one & saved my money. At 19, found the one I wanted, a 95 Z28, and paid cash for it.

Lamborghini Gallardo.

My runner-up was a C5 Z (which i already owned)

I could sell a few things and buy a used one now, however, i dont see it happening any time soon for practicality reasons.

Black 03 10th Anniversary Cobra coupe when I was in HS. Got the exact car a year after I graduated and started working.

When I was younger say 13-14ish I got to ride in my older cousins 1969-70 Mach 1. It was loud, fast and the coolest thing I had ever rode in at the time. That was the car I wanted for forever it seemed like, and also started my bias toward mustangs. Fast forward to 2003, when I was a Jr. in high school, and one of the teachers had purchased a new sonic blue mustang. I walked past that car every freaking day and just drooled over it! Never thought I would be able to buy a mustang ever, but boy did I want one with v8 and a 5 speed (I had no idea what GT, Bullit or any of that stuff meant at the time). 2 years ago I was finally at a place in life where I could afford one as a project. And when I tell people its my dream car, the looks and remarks are priceless. "an outdated, 10 year old car is your dream car!?!". Yeah, New Edge= Pure sexy.

My dream car was a Fox Hatch which became my 17th birthday present in 2001, my Mom found a 91' blk/blk GT for sale on the side of the road for $4500. Unmolested and basically untouched with 88k on it. It's been a hell of a car and I had more fun with my Dad working on it and racing it than I could have ever imagined. I still have it and hope to restore and repaint it within the next few years. Just need to make room in the garage and get rid of some of the Chevy's!

When I was a kid I was all about wanting a Porsche. 911, 928, 944, it didn't matter. 3000GT VR4 was one that I lusted after when it came out. The C4 ZR1 was another. Oh and a MKIV TT Supra of course, although I was in college when they came out. How am I the first one to mention a Supra?

In high school I drove a 88 GT and remember being obsessed with the sonic blue cobra when they came out.

A sunset orange metallic trans am ws6 was a close second.

Always wanted an 1979 Ford F100 short bed 2wd that was lowered with a healthy V8. Someday I will have one, or maybe a 1975-79 crew cab F250/350
