Stock Z06 blows engine on track

A local guy had his come apart while stretching it out on the interstate. Is/was completely stock. I don't know the details on how it happened. All I know is he was hauling ass. I do remember hearing a valve broke causing the chain reaction of dropped valve into cylinder, rod broke etc. Chevy covered replacing the engine.

my C5 Z06 says that if your going to track the car, to put in an extra 1/2 qt. of oil.

Im going to guess that a lot of those guys dont....?

gm tells you that because the c5z is not a dry sump. dry sump...oil pan...old school new school, doesn't matter when a rocker arm fails because a gm parts supplier had his finger up his ass. makes people question design, builder...sometimes everyone but the real culprit....a supplier

I wouldn't want that car back even if they were gonna replace the motor. I'd want a whole new car that freaking thing caught on fire!
