Sorry for your misfortune. I bet you are sick in your stomach.
Atleast you're not one of those assholes that would buy another one and swap them out.
Yea they don't have them anymore. I bought mine exactly one month before they sold the last one's. Couldn't find them at all online, only used or couple of sizes smaller. I know what you mean, I love my Plasma Sammy from my room but it takes a while to adjust to the colors and all coming from the living room.It is in fact a TC-P65VT60. Depression is growing watching my vizio I've moved from the bedroom. I'm also seeing the exact tv online going for as much as $5k. I'm guessing because they are not available anymore. WTF.
NEVER compare an LED and a VT60…. NEVER! The VT60 is VERY thin as well, its thinner than some LED's.It was a plasma. You want one of them nice thin LED type deals.
:rockon:If your buddy was a true friend he would leave, come back with a ski mask on and a fake gun, steal the TV and the two of you would never speak of this again.
This is actually an option I didn't think about. I did in fact purchase it on my American Express Card. But I doubt they would cover accidental damage. But I'll check anyway.
Only other insurance I have is Renters. Already spoke with them and thats a no go. Theres nothing they cover I could even make up lol.

In-terms of picture quality, his TV would blow any low profile LED TV in that price range.
This is as good as a budget enthusiast TV your money can buy. People think $2.8k is expensive, but it directly compares with $10k+ Pioneer Elite Plasmas, (Kuro).
Now that it's discontinued buyers are asking for more due to demand.
As the OP mentioned, all the way to $6k
Panasonic Viera TC P65VT60 65" 3D Ready 1080p HD Plasma Internet TV 5025232708147 | eBay
People read the labels and assume it can't be that great. Watch a movie on an older 720p calibrated Kuro, prepare to shit bricks when it looks 10 times better than your top of the line 1080p Samsung.
I know it doesnt help now, but with whatever TV I buy I always get the extra insurance on it for 1 year, where they replace it no matter what happens to it. In my experience TVs either break immediately or 10-15 years later.
You dropped your TV? Idiot!
But in all seriousness, I messed up my Mac book pro. I found water underneath, wasn't even a year old. So I know how you feel.
