Hoping to hop down into Martin in a few years.
You in martin county?
This is tough question to answer. It’s not for everyone. The winter is great, but we’re overrun by snowbirds. You really can’t go out to eat unless you know a few local spots. Even those are getting stupid. Summer, well, it’s summer. I live just north of Ft. Myers and we’re sub tropical. Yeah, it’s gets ****ing hot and very humid. Work wise, depends on what you do. Lots of trade jobs here right now. The pay scale is way lower than anything y’all are used to I’m sure, but there is money to be made. I landed a great job 20 years ago and make very good money for this area. I’ve known a ton of people who tried, but just couldn’t make it. The money wasn’t there, or the storms scared the shit out of them. Speaking of storms. Where I live, they afternoon storms would seem like a hurricane to someone who just moved here. Major downpours, thunder and lightening that is insane along with 50-60 mph wind. All that said, I’ve lived in this part for like 28 years. I don’t want to leave, even though it’s getting more full. Hell, some of the roads used to be dirt or one lane, now 4. Long post, just wanted to put some real life perspective on it. Instead of some monkey who moved here 2 months ago.you guys in FL, do you ACTUALLY enjoy living there? Enough to where you really could recommend it to someone interested in relocating? lets forget about not wanting outsiders flooding the state for argument sake lol
****in' right bro...we'll get a boat!
Get up in the mornin. Dishwashah makes our breakfast. Hit the gym to lift. Then it’s out on the boat all day long. Come back to a nice meal.****in' right bro...we'll get a boat!

I have friends who used to visit Key West multiple times a year. The love it so much that they moved down to Cudjoe Key in February. They are right on a canal with a boat and a pool. She's a nurse and he bought a boat upholstery business. They are living the dream. My gf parents escape to big pine key every winter. They have a rental pad for their rv and boat. her father never wants to come home.

I’d move if my wife’s family wasn’t here. Personally, I wouldn’t recommend it but there are far worse states to live in.
