Thanks for putting me on the list Dwight I've wanted it all year! Your right a little more weight reduction would help! I'm going to swap in a K-member and a few more rear suspension tweaks this winter and see where that puts me in the spring. My personal goal is a 10.6X.

Not to get off subject but I see in your signature your going to port the GT500! I'm sure Posi will do an awesome job! Are you keeping a list of the pullied and ported GT500's?
Definitely think a 10.6 is realistic. Have you considered porting the blower and getting your RWHP up in the 530 range? That along with the suspension mods and weight reduction, would put you in a position to get Larry's 6 speed record, you know? Heck, you almost had it with your other silver beast!

And Justin, the Shelby guys just aren't into drag racing the Eaton as much yet. The car's have tons of potential with the easily attainable 580-600 RWHP that can be had with a well setup Eaton, but so many of them just throw on the TVS or twin screw without giving the Eaton a chance. I guess it's kinda deja vu with the Terminator crowd back in 06/07' before the "Eaton Revival"!!

Dang son a 7.30 is getting it done. A 7.30 is around an 11.30 in the 1/4. Thats still impressive for street cars like ours making in the mid to upper 400's. Congradulations! I've been watching you and its been getting better and better everytime you go! Keep it up.

Thanks a lot man, means a lot coming from you.

Hopefully one of these days we can actually meet up at an event and you can teach me how to drive haha.

Was this the last time for the year or are you gonna be able to run again while its still cool out?

That's really getting it done for an upper only car at that weight. Nice work. Hell, some people at one of my local tracks don't believe that my car doesn't have spray based on the 127 trap speed and I have more done than you! Sounds like you will have the right parts to put on to hit that record too!
Car looks damn good with the welds up front too.

Yea meeting up would be awesome! Hate I missed the Shootout this year. Yea I'm done for this year. They are still gonna have some events but I'm gonna quit on a good note until spring.

Appreciate it man! I've been asked if I was spraying too haha. Especially since I actually was with my old car.

Nice times Justin and nice to see you're still getting faster with the car. Just for reference if you don't mind what rpm's are you shifting at anyways?

Thanks Posi!! I shift the car at 6k. I know its not at redline but the transmission just seems to shift better at that rpm for me.

Congrats ! That's freakn fast ! I'm ported and don't think I'll b that fast .

Thanks! With a good port and upper/lower combo Im sure you'll be in the 10's!

that is awesome, congrats

Thanks man appreciate it!

Where do you launch at? And how did it do with the 28in/ 3.55 combo?

I was just floating the throttle around 3500-4500rpms and let the clutch out quick. Almost like a really quick slip of the clutch. I was wondering what would happen with the 28in. and 3.55. I had a 3.73 in the rear earlier this year but I split the lsd case in half and destroyed everything in the rear (except axles). I went back with the 3.55 and I'm happy.

I wonder if it would run quicker if you shifted at 6500-6700??

I was thinking the same thing earlier. I may try it on pass or two just to see if there is any difference.

I think it'll slow down. You can try going up with the rpm's but I'd guess you're pretty close to the optimum shift points right now. Maybe go up 200 rpm's at a time?

I give up on the 28s lol, I have 3.73s and couldn't get the car to leave without bogging no matter where I left. Tried 4500 all the way up to 6200. Tried side stepping or slipping the clutch. Slipping the clutch didn't bog but 60s were like 1.74s so I gave up on that too lol. Where you using the 2 step? And do you think that would make a big difference?

Like Wes said I wasn't using the 2-step but I definitely think it helps. I'm going to see what happens on the 2-step next spring. If the car will launch with it I'm going to stick with it. Going for some 1.4X 60's!
