Just a heads up, if you go to the "packages" page on the MM site, their is a K member package. Includes a lot of what you have on your list.
Around $1800

My cart has basically the max grip package however there isn't an option for remove the Panhard bar and torque arm and replace the rear coils with IRS coils. I still need to call them and work out a few small details on the setup so im going to talk to them about my scenario and see if they will. Im using this as a list of what I want to order. Probably will end up adding more stuff in when its all said and done.

While I have the K member out I might as well add longtubes too huh?

Worked on the rear diff cooler setup. Keep in mind this kit so far has only cost shy of $300.

Thats all for tonight. I still need to drill the correct size hole in the diff for the feed and return. I need to go just a tad bigger and I don't have the bit. Once I put those in I will seal the rear cover and bolt it on then bolt it into the carriage. Once thats taken care of I need to find a place to take my 85 for a few weeks while I tear the 98 down.

Picked up some furniture rollers for the IRS to sit on the ground. Its a bummer its too hot to take out the 85...

I started putting the rear diff back together and as I was putting the rear cover on I was torquing down all the bolts and as soon as one hit 15lbs this happened.

There was a ton of rtv on the diff when I took it apart and this is probably why, it couldn't be torqued down.

I stopped screwing around and decided to just drill it out and re tap it.

Little overkill... but 1/2 - 20 should do!

Tomorrow the diff should be in the IRS and then we are off to the races.

Good move on your part with choosing Maximum Motorsports for the majority of the build and nice work on the diff cooler.

What are you going to do about cooling the oil? I know that Ford Performance strongly recommends an air to air oil cooler for the GT500 and coyote engines so I would imagine that 4.6 Cobra motor needs some type of an air to air engine oil cooler as well.

Currently on hold at the moment. Realizing that Mustang Week is only right around the corner I am now focusing my time back onto my 85.... I will get back on this thing in another month and a half or so.

Since my 85 is at the fab shop getting tail pipes finished I had room in the garage to button up a few things.

First on the docket is to get my GPS lap timer mounted. This thing is pretty slick, has predictive analytics to let me know if im ahead or behind my last lap and best lap.

Here are some before shots.

And here are after my bracket I made.

Also since my steering wheel is removable and I didn't want to set it on the dash every time I made a hook for it to hang on as well.

Mustang Week has now come and gone, I ended up winning best 79-86 so that was a nice treat.

Back to work on this turd!

I pulled the trigger on the Maximum Motorsports stuff, minus the k member and A arms. Not sure what to do engine wise in the future.

First thing to come in is the cage. Just a 4 point that I will add additional bracing to in the future.

30005111147_accd05ab46_k.jpg

Next piece to arrive is the CHE rear shock tower brace.

44942121661_2f0ee689f7_k.jpg
Untitled by |SK Photography|, on Flickr

Little info on this piece, side to side deflection is zero. so this thing doesn't serve much of a purpose.... Well normally they don't. I run this one because I am running Coils. This will place extra strain on the shock mount wanting to push it upwards. This shock tower brace will strengthen that area by bolting to both the shock mount and the floor of the vehicle. In the future I will also tie in the roll cage to the rear shock mounts as well.

Thats all for now, waiting on the rest of the suspension to be delivered.
