98 Cobra dedicated track build thread

I believe it was set to 5 or 6 degrees. since then I loosened it up and maxed it out to see if it would help. no change. curious about another cobra owner's experience. im thinking it could be the rack some how.

does your car steering return to center if you let go of the wheel out of a turn. I have replaced everything except the rack at this point and I still need to feed the wheel back. my car is a 99 Cobra professionally aligned

Yes, it will return. I max out my caster so thats where I would start if I were you.

Not much to update at this point as I have just been enjoying it. I am currently 3rd in standings in my time attack series!

I do not space out my rotors as the kit i am running doesnt require it but I am running 1/4" spacer to move my wheel for coil clearance.

Bracket is to mount my tow strap. It was scrap from an old project and repurposed since the bumper was set so far back I had to extend the mounting point out further.

Or are you talking about the machined brackets??? Those are to fit brembo 4 piston calipers from a boss 302 on sn spindles.

I did have a very nicely sorted car. I’m actually sitting 3rd in points this season. Doing really well. I just don’t want to keep paying for the hobby. It’s expensive and I could be investing that money to retire early. Always wrenching is getting tiring.

Trailer sold only 5 weeks after I bought that. Made a quick $5k profit on it.

Nothing bad at all just downsizing, 5 cars is more than I want. Now I just have my 85 and a quick family sedan as a daily.
