You can run the MM Arms on the stock k member until you decide what motor you are going with. I did that on mine for a year until I saved enough for the K member.

I also don’t know hat offset a arms I want yet which was another factor to not getting them. I need to do some measuring. Leaning toward the forward offset but not quite sure yet.

Problem is

A Arm Offset + stock K, 3/4"
A Arm Offset + MM K 1 1/2"
Stock Offset A arm + MM K 3/4"

So unless you want you front tires to be where your headlights are, it's a hard thing to choose.

I used the stock offset mm a arms on my 98 cobra and with 17x8 and 245 tires i have no clearance issues at all. And to be honest with the mm k member the wheel actually looks centered in the fender now compared to stock. Which looks a lot better.

I dont have experience with the forward offset arms but if you have a track car and want to get as much weight behind the front tires as possible i dont think they would cause too much problem. I can see having to do some trimming of the inner fender liners/bumper probably and depending on how low the car is you might have some interference with the windshield washer reservoir on the driver side.

Its a track car so not too worried with the tires being far forward... just trying to think of down the line what the plans will be.

I understand the reasoning for the forward offset and the benefits to weight distribution and how this will help. I have 275's now and I want to test the car before making decisions. If it works well on 275's then forward offset will be fine with light trimming. if I decide to go wider up front I want to see what that will do. Im trying not to change the entire setup before testing what works and what doesnt.

Im already changing a LOT of things on the car now I dont want to add extra variables at the moment.

One thing I am curious about is, has anyone had experience going from the stock setup to the forward offset as the only change and what was the feeling? Noticeable?

I have a stock k member with the forward offset a arms. Can't really comment on overall feel of the car as other than some back roads spirited driving its never tested on the turns. the car is lowered on coil overs and with 255's in the front has no clearance issues. I have a 1/8" spacer just to keep the wheel from rubbing on the coil over.

Finally got a delivery the other day from Maximum Motorsports. Not pictured here is the roll bar an full length sub frame connectors.

I went with 400lb springs up front with MM race valved struts. 800 lb springs in the rear with the bilstein shocks.

Roll bar is in, its raw... I need to have the rear arms welded on, once that is done I think I will shoot the bar white to match the exterior of the car.

ahh so much porn in one post... that roll bar looks like it means business.

Maybe I missed it in prior posts, but are you keeping the n/a 4v in it? or planning another Dart motor? @suicidekings

At this moment. I think im leaving the engine stock. I want to get use to the suspension and get as good as I can with only suspension mods. Later on I will do bolt ons to the 4V but the ultimate goal would be to keep the car around 320 na wheel and 3200 lbs with me in it. Thats the limit on power to weight for the class I want to be in.

What class? If you are trying to run NASA TT3 then there are 2 ways to get the 10:1 power to weight, one is to use max rwhp the other is avg rwhp. I like the idea of avg rwhp over peak because the 4V really lacks power down low for coming off the corners, the B head engine more so, I switched to C heads to help with that issue.

Thanks man. Gotta adjust based on what I have. Like a 250, carrying as much speed as possible is key since you cant power out of the corners like a 600 and up.

and yeah, they are beasts!

Im running the time attack series for now, TA-B.

I screwed myself in TT due to being a cobra and having IRS I out class myself so I am against guys I don't have a shot in hell competing with.

I don't see where being a Cobra with IRS has any affect on the TT calculator, you are using a factory suspension even if it is from a later car. I'm getting dinged for a tubular k-member, and non OEM aero once I add the rear wing. Now if you are trying to run a TT letter class then yes you will get dinged, but I don't know if they are bringing those back next year, sounded like everyone will be in 1 of the 4 ST/TT classes.
