Great...F*cking great. Just went out to try that, and now I cant even get the damn belt off. The tensioner wont go down but an inch or two when I try to release the tension on the belt. It just stops, so I cant get the belt off now...wtf.

I've been through so much shit lately and have had problem after problem it seems with this car. Its like I take 1 step forward getting something done, then 5 steps back realizing that something isnt quite right or wont work etc... It just sucks, and at this point, I'm starting to just want to go N/A so I can drive the car and enjoy it. I've driven it maybe 1000 miles in the past year and a half...

Well, I've concluded that I will for sure need the 03 Cobra power steering pulley, so thats gonna be a lot of fun taking off and putting back on.
Then, the whole 8 rib setup (lower pulley, alternator, install blower pulley, and the pulley bridge)
Then gotta hook up the fuel stuff.
Plenum/throttle body, then the 03 Cobra JLT and SCT MAF.
Then reinstalling all the stock 99 stuff like the fan, bumper, coolant res. and all the hoses then filling all that back up and stuff. Then wiring up the stuff like the alternator plug, the intercooler pump, and then hooking up and figuring out how to setup IAT2 stuff.
Easier said than done...

I'll give either you or Nick a call tomorrow. I need to order a power steering pulley tomorrow then when in get it I might be able to start and get something done. But as for now until I get that I don't think I can even do much since I can't put on the lower pulley.

Well for what is worth I'm fighting the 99 PS pulley battle. I didn't catch it in time and it ate part of the belt up and made some metal on metal contact. I just let it for because the damage was already done, but the pulley defenitly is not how it is supposed to be. I have a 03/04 pulley coming so we will see how it goes. I thought the belt looked a little wide for it... but oh well. lol live and learn

ya thats true, I didnt need to do it either, 01 pulley exactly the same.
Stick with it guys, it is a bit of a tricky swap, especially since their are subtle differences between the 01 and the 99 which makes it hard.
