I think if they ended up closer to the Judge Concept they would have done much better, was thoroughly disappointed with the GrandAm version when it was finally released.GM thought all they had to do was slap a GTO badge on and it would be a success. Nothing about that car said GTO to those who knew the original. It looked like a Chevy Cavalier, only slightly bigger.
I hear the defense all the time that the GTO was just a hot LeMans/Tempest which was just a generic family coupe of the time.GM thought all they had to do was slap a GTO badge on and it would be a success. Nothing about that car said GTO to those who knew the original. It looked like a Chevy Cavalier, only slightly bigger.
Id still like to have one ...i liked em a lot for some reason
Christ they were 6-8k on bad day not long agoPeople want like $16,000 for total piles right now. GTO prices are dumb

Pontiac G5 is what people asked....
I was dumb enough to also get a G8 a few years later
What downhill quarter-mile strip was a Mach one trapping 107 and a LS2 GTO trapping 108
When's the last time you visited your optometrist, Ray. LOL.I think the GTO was the one time a typical rebadging GM special worked out. I always loved GTO's and wanted one back in the day but at the time I was too young and couldn't afford it. The GTO looked like other Pontiac's from the time and if you think it looks like a Cavalier I think you need to get your eyes checked lol.
