LOL at the mid $20s posts. Yet you guys would want more than mid $20s for your sub 3k mile Cobras.
Yeah, the color may not be desirable, but the car will sell for more than "mid 20s".

I'm not even a Terminator guy and I can see that.

Legendary Motorcars has been selling 03 to 04 Cobras in the mid to high 30s for the past few years. The thing is, they have clients that are willing to pay that much to add it to their collection. Some guy selling it on eBay will probably not attract that same buyer. Anyone who thinks it is worth in the 20s is clueless. I wouldn't buy a 03 to 04 CObra because I want the latest tech and to me it isn't as cool as older Mustangs(69-70, fox body)

I’m well aware of all of that.
They made a LOT of ‘03-04 Cobras, so they will be hard pressed to ever be considered a high end collector car.

They made a lot of 03 cobras. 04s not so much. The one most likely to become a collector piece is the mystichrome. I recently sold mine for almost as much as I paid for it in 06. it had 11k miles and an accident on the title (which did not show up on carfax till 2012). I miss it but I don't regret selling it .... yet ..
I messaged him on ebay asking if he would come down.

He replied saying the car isnt for me.
you should email him back and tell him it apparently is not for him either

But that's what, $22k USD?
more like $11.50

Sold just as many Supra MKIVs and look what happened there. The problem the Cobra has is the base cars and the ease of building a replica.

You don't need to drop $30k for the "Cobra"
experience. Same isn't true for a MKIV, GTR, 911, Viper, etc.
They made 12k Supras over 7yrs. So not really the same.

Well anyone that sells a car like mine for $25k would be nuts or in desperate need of money. Just mods alone equals that.

I don't plan on selling the car so it really does not matter to me what other people are willing to pay for it.
Mods don’t add money, they actually hurt a collector type vehicle.
I just tore apart a very clean, very stock Teal ‘93 Cobra. Anyone who care for the investment would have fixed 10-15 things to make it 100% original and let it gain value. To me, it’s a driver and the car I wanted in high school, so it’ll look stock inside and out, but have a TVS Coyote, 6-speed and IRS.
And just like you, I won’t sell.
This is a fun thread of what is the car worth. I say $30k, but then you’re hard pressed to enjoy it as low mile and stock is good only for collecting, not driving.
If I were you I wouldn’t sell for $25k either, but if you put it up, that’s exactly what I’d expect it to bring.

Wonder what Goose sold his MC vert for? Though it is a different color and it's a coupe, this one has less miles. I
for one (I'm sure I'm in the minority) would take the white over the MC. I've always liked white on the SN95/new edges.

This car isnt for me anyway though, I drive my cars.

I’m with you on the white.
Probably the collector status is 2004>2003 just based on numbers (but the dark seats are the kicker to me).
But at the top are definitely MystiChrome and 10th Anniversary Cars. After those it’s 2004>2003 then the rare early run colors like Mineral Grey and one of the silvers.

And not all of them were turbos.

Doesn't matter.

Fact remains there is a finite number of USDM MKIV Supras and people want them. The NA cars value has skyrocketed because it's easy to build a turbo clone from one.

This is the anchor that will hold the Terminator and GT500s back, as you'll always have dirt cheap V6/GT cars to build clones from helping relieve demand.

Additionally, Ford attracts a lot of older collectors who immediately moth ball anything that seems note worthy, there are going to be a lot more low mileage pristine cars. In '93 there was no expectation that a MKIV was destined to be a classic so hundreds of guys didn't lock away their cars like they do with Fords.

I can totally see a car like this going for big money. You aren't going to find cars like this out there (literally zero mods, zero bolts or screws ever loosened). Color does not matter in this case. This is essentially like buying a Terminator brand new from the showroom, and there are a lot of people who wish they could have done that.

White coupe. (Not a top of the list preferred color)
3K miles.
No mods.

I'd pay $30K. If it was Competition Orange or another more preferred color, $34K. Assuming everything else was good with the car.

This seller is crazy high on the price. He's hoping to snag a buyer who lacks knowledge about '03-'04 Cobras and is foolish enough to hand over $42K.

@jmsa540, how much did you offer him? His auction DOES have a Make An Offer option. So I'm guessing yours was much lower than he would consider.

I said mid 20s and replied with a sarcastic comment.

Mid $20s is very low for a Terminator with 3K miles, so I would have expected him to say no, but he could have replied without sarcasm. LOL.

Of course I agree mods will hurt resale. I kept all the original parts. Reputable shops worked on the car and did a great job with top notch parts. I am not interested in selling as I mentioned but I would probably get more than $25k for the car and all the original parts. Not on a car forum though lol!

We used to have an IBM XT in South Africa. I upgraded to faster computers over the years and then when I moved to USA lost track of it. It was still at my sister's house 20 years ago and I asked them about it but they don't know what I am talking about. The computer was probably tossed many years ago. I see some IBMs have been advertised for $3000! Not sure if they sold for that but some millionaire tech entrepreneur might buy that without blinking.

It all depends on the buyers, how much they like the item and how much they are willing to pay.
