The new Toyota Camry, my friend had one as a rental when his car was getting repaired. Incredible brakes, depress the pedal a couple millimeters and that bitch is Biting hard. So YEAH that surprised me...

Pleasantly surprised by the 2017 cvt Nissan Altima 3.5L rental car I had. Probably about 300% better car than I anticipated.

They only made like 300 of those and they're uber expensive. How'd you get your hands on one?
The one that I will always remember is taking a Porsche 959 for a 30 minute romp, spirited back road drive about 10 years ago that car for 1989 was beyond surreal as it truly was beyond what most car companies had out on the road at the time.

AWD, twin turbo charging, selectable traction. Mud, Wet, Sand settings. Height adjustable shocks where the car got lower and lower the faster you went went 115 MPH on a stretch and it went about 15 mm travel so as to keep the center of gravity the same. All the aero and duct work so as to make the most of the wind that rtraveled over and through the body to create downforce.

View attachment 1488571 06 Lexus IS350... 306 HP / 277 Ftlb.. RWD Super reliable, good looking, mine is a sport pkg car and it handles really well. The car has really turned me into a Lexus fan, it just does everything good.
Did you forget to add this one to the list in your signature?

I never owned one, but I did look at one back in 2006. I really liked the package. Just a bit more than I wanted to spend.

This place has one in their collection outside Cincinnati Ohio

The Taj Ma Garaj ® Automotively Chic Banquet Facilities I done a $400 hour drive with it back then under the owners, supervision. On a few twisty backroads, it was sort of fun to get to experience what some rare Porsches could do. They also got a 930 Slantnose but I was more interested in the 959 and so spent most of my time just looking it over and finding out all I could about it.

My 94 Mustang GT. It was extremely slow but a blast to drive. I had over 110,000 problem free miles on it. I put 3.73 gears in it and made things a lot more fun.

92-98 Jeep Grand Cherokee w/5.2L or 5.9L- I had a 96 5.2L that i added a few bolt ons and it was quite impressive. Ran 14's with basic intake, headers, throttle body and 3" exhaust. The 5.9L would have been even faster if i found one in the right color with lower miles. Would love to find another 5.2 or 5.9 with low miles and make another Street Jeep out of it.

NA/NB/NC Miata - looked down on them for soooo many years. Friend bought one and auto-x it a few times. Basic bolt on suspension parts and a cage and its on rails. I have a hard time beating him in my Fiesta now. Both on R-comps but the Miata is just dialed so much better than the FiST. The chassis balance is just amazing and even with almost zero power the car gets around the course faster than 99% of the field. Cant imagine one with 200whp or more.

Hyundai Veloster Turbo w/ 6 speed - Car has everything for under $21k except for rear seat room. I drove a Turbo model with the 6 speed and it was comfortable, quick and had all the amenities my FiST doesnt. If i were to buy another small car again it will be a Hyundai Turbo model. Really love the steps Hyundai has come in the last 5 years and when the they finally release the N performance models I will be in a dealer for the next hot hatchback. Really hope they bring the I30N here to the states.

Ford Edge Sport - Wife wanted a titanium model with the 2.0L Ecoboost. We were just about sold when we saw they just got a delivery of the Sport model. Went for a drive and all notions of the other model were gone. Had to have a Sport. So dealer wanted ADM + MSRP which was a no go in my book. Went to a favorite dealer with 3k under MSRP that day and they took it. Tuned it this year and its been a straight sleeper. Stupid, stupid power off the line and just pulls like a freight train. Never had an SUV with so much low end and mid range oomph. Makes my old Typhoon and ZJ look like slugs.

A 1966 Mercury Park Lane, 4 door, black vinyl roof. That thing rode and drove so nice! Belonged to my great grandmother, so I got to drive it occasionally after I got my license in the mid 70's. I would kill to have that car today...

My 13 F-150 with the 3.5L. It's a blast to drive and always fun racing and seeing their face when I pull past them.

Stock 04 Lightning. Looking back, loved that truck before I went on a quest to make over 500rwhp years ago.
Raptor. Big ass truck that was longer than an Excursion. But it felt quite nimble for a truck it's size and even basic offroading would me a huge grin. Wasn't expecting to be hooked on those trucks as I got. Put 35k miles on the first one in under a year and a half and it wasn't my DD to work

My 2006 Mazdaspeed 6. Found it on here, locally, and went and bought it after a quick test drive. Turbo, awd, 6-speed and a surprisingly nice interior. I wish I still owned it but the rear quarters were rusting and I didn't want to deal with that.

I've owned a lot of cars over the years but I think my favorite was my 1997 Eclipse Turbo which I bought mainly because I had a 150 mile commute every day and my fox body GT wasn't cutting it. This was before the fast and furious days and when imports weren't really a thing yet. I think I enjoyed it simply because no one expected it to be anywhere near as fast as it was. The only mods I had was an upgraded turbo, downpipe and injectors and it would beat my friends sn95 cobras and stock(ish) ls1s.

It never fell apart? Lucky. An ex gf had a non-turbo Eclipse from that gen & a wheel fell off while I was driving it down the turnpike one night. Thankfully, no one was hurt.

My 04 Volvo s60 T5...loved that thing...
Awesome seats, 260hp, rode well, handled well...overall fun car
sucked in the snow bad though lol

I was going to say... My '08 S40T5. Aside from getting mildly ripped off on the thing 7 years ago, it has really stood the test of time and abuse.

Honestly no. I drove it 115k miles and most of that was with an upgraded turbo. I sold it to a friend of mine who probably put another 40k on it before it was totaled out. Nothing at all broke on it ever. It was probably beat on harder than any other car I have ever owned. I can't say the same for the the foxbody it replaced.

This thread is a fun read.

I forgot about the 2000 Acura GS-R i owned a few years back in 2002. Had alot of fun daily driving it. Decently quick, tight gearbox, handled well and was easy on the gas usage. Sold it for more than i bought it, and went on to a cobra from there.

Had alot of fun in that little ride though.

Focus ST.

I knew they were fun, but when I bought mine I drove it for like 3 weeks straight while my 12 GT was parked.

When I got ready to sell the Mustang I drove it to work one day and I realized at that point just how much more fun/dialed in the Focus was.

1980 K5 Blazer - my first vehicle. Still miss it to this day for no particular reason. Just wish I still owned it.

2006 MazdaSpeed 6 - fantastic car in the snow. Well balanced. Easy to mod.

2006 Trailblazer SS RWD - full bolt ons and a tune. Ran well. Horrible mileage but surprised many people with how quick she was.

2013 Infiniti M37X - my current DD. Great for and finish. Quick, especially in Sport mode and an absolute BEAST in the snow.

Wish i had my 96 Cobra back, that car you could just hop in and go anywhere. Miss it everyday.

03 Ranger FX4 I had for a few years. Good solid pickup, had 259K miles on it when I traded it, had a small lift and 33's, got 17 mpg ha Wish I had it still for a hunting pickup.
