Your talking out of ur ass like everyone else when it comes to Land Rovers. dude they don't even make the top 10 most unreliable vehicles of 2017 and yea that includes SUV's. https://www.consumerreports.org/car-reliability/10-least-reliable-cars/

if there so unreliable why do sales keep going up and ppl keep buying them? I'll tell ya cause ppl like u are talking out of ur ass and read some internet article about problems they had 30 years ago and then get on internet forums and spread more BS about them......

yet sales continue to go up. thats cleary cause ppl aren't buying them and their unreliable smh.

That is definitely not true. Vehicles are more complex than ever and Range Rovers still suck. They're for rich people that are worried about image. if I was given a brand new one I'd sell it to one of those idiots.

Actually the increase in sales is a direct correlation to what I was saying about poor reliability and people trading/selling them before they're out of warranty.

Just like Mercedes, Jaguar, etc...a lot of people buy it for the name and brand image.

The increase of sales is nothing more than more people buying new ones. Pre-owned Land Rovers have a VERY high (meaning long) days-in-inventory rate. The average days in inventory is quite a bit higher than any other luxury line brand; hell, even pre-owned Lincons sell faster. New Lincolns are the slowest selling brand in America.

Sometimes I find it's wise to read more and post less.
Have you ever heard the expression "doubling down on..."?

Do you happen to own one? I can't think of any other reason for such an obtuse, and flat out wrong, hot take.

Parents have had (3) Land Rovers in the past decade (leased them) and the only time they have been to the dealership is to have the oil changed. they have NEVER had one issue. not one!

that is my personal experience with them and their beautiful inside and a beast in the winter.

so again show me where they are an unreliable vehicle? sales up whether its used or new does not indicate an unreliable vehicle.

they don't make the top 10 most unreliable vehicles so again this is just opinion that isn't backed by fact.

That's limited anecdotal evidence. A lot of people have trouble with the year Volvo I own, but mine has been trouble free for the most part. Luck of the draw in many ways.

However, a 3-second Google search for "Land Rover Reliability" yields many, many articles with cited statistics based on recalls, warranty claims, customer satisfaction surveys etc. Sure, you have to account for some level of bias, since happy customers usually aren't the ones complaining. One example is that Land Rover won the #1 spot for least reliable brand on the road in 2012 according to UK's WhatCar with a 71% failure rate per year. Cherry-picking, sure. But it's a deep bucket to pick from.

Are there Land Rovers on the road that don't have problems? Sure. Of course. But, information from multiple reputable sources suggests "stay away unless you have good luck," which I typically do not.

Please don't take this as me attacking you- I'm sure the vehicles your family owns are nice (and yes, LRs/RRs are quite comfy) and I believe you that they've been trouble free. Not denying that at all, my friend.

I would buy one, I have a 2014 Range Rover supercharged, has 800 horsepower and I haven't had a single problem with it. Owned it for about two years now. Does great on gas too.

They leased them. So they're under warranty.

You're further proving my points.

No, I don't own one. You couldn't pay me to own one. If given one, I'd give it away to charity for a tax write off, or sell it to someone else.

Negative on Range Rover for points illustrated in this thread.

Take a look at the Infiniti qx56 or whatever its call.. Nissan Armada. I had one as a rental for work a few months back. VERY nice truck for the money and had big balls to boot.

Im actually thinking of buying my wife an Expedition EL. Ecoboost, 6r80, whats not to like? Dead nuts reliable and will haul a big family around in comfort.

They are nice. Father got one as a loaner in Boston(was fun parking in some spots) but overall was a peppy truck with nice creature comforts.
