Been a svt fan from the time i first saw a gen 1 lightning as a kid. Every new svt vehicle that has came out from the gen 2 lightning to the gt500 I have wanted but never had the funds to afford or was in a different direction at the time. I lurked on here for months and this was one of the last forums ive been on that hasn't been taken over by trolls. Ive been in the market for a new mustang for a while and his place is full of knowledge

I think this was the first place that came up in my search for information about my 96 Cobra. This place has provided me a lot of info in all sorts of life's endeavors. So I stay, going on 16 years strong.

I lurked on here for about 2 years before I actually joined. I really liked how "not assholes" everyone is here. lol. And there's a WEALTH of knowledge on here to tap into if you have questions about any car, not just Ford products. I still lurk for the most part, but I'm on this site daily reading everything.

My story, my kid turned me on to this place. I had already owned my Cobra for 6 years before I joined. Probably a good thing. I was super active in the 03/04 section when I first joined. Those guys have way surpassed me in knowledge. I will still do a blower swap eventually and know where to go when I do. When I was asked about becoming a moderator here I was floored, and the rest is history. Lol

Bought my first Shelby, joined here for info. Got another one, more info.
Got hooked on Terminators, lots of love here for those.
And this site has a Mach 1 section!
AND, the other once popular Shelby forum has been completely gutted by a moderator that thinks grown men need to be treated like 3rd graders.
And that's proven to not be working so well as reflected by current participation..
And here, Roadside & SD is always cool to check out!

Bought my Cobra in January and I had a bunch of things I wanted to do to it, so I went looking for knowledge. I lucked out and found this place. It's the first forum I've ever joined. It's one stop shopping, tons of info and some laughs while your here

Public reason: in 2005 I was thinking of building a Factory Five Replica Roadster. I had heard Ford had these nifty DOHC four-valve engines and was looking for info and found this place. When i finally saw a FF Roadster, I realized there was no way my fat ass would fit in one, but hey, there was this one version of the Mustang, the '03/'04 Cobra ... and i was hooked.

The real reason: I had a hell of time fixing Y2K on my own. I knew I would need help for 2012, and the Universe led me to this site, from which I was able to recruit the necessary individuals to fix 2012. It worked. It was a walk in the park compared to Y2K. Oh, there were some challenges. Establishing the necessary background knowledge in science required quite a few posts, but the ladies on this site are second to none, and we got it fixed.

Next up: Apophis. Not even that tough, really. Paint it half-white, half black, let the sun do the rest. Dang 'ol photons: no mass, tons of momentum. Lucky for us!

Bought a Cobra a few years back and needed a knowledgeable site to help me learn about the car.

I stay because the site is so much more than a car forum. It's a great place to hang out and converse with like minded degenerates.

Other sites are about as exciting as woman's professional basketball.

I joined because it was one of the only forums that military computers don't block. After a couple days I realized it's a much more active site than stangnet, my former forum of choice, is these days.

I stick around because there are a lot of cool, knowledgeable people on here. And even the ones who aren't are like a train wreck. Can't look away. Entertaining.
