Two of us MW Staff stay at Holiday Sands South. Is it the "universal" recommendation? That depends on your taste in a hotel and needs. Is it the nicest on the beach, no. But for the $ it's hard to beat. If you call, call soon and ask for the MW discount. I have heard the condos are booking fast though. HSS has been a long-time sponsor of Mustang Week. They were the first hotel to step up and offer a discount as well as welcome all the cars, provide "event" parking, and provide a car wash area. Not to mention there is trailer parking available. As for being to far south, not really, if you consider our Tuesday and Wednesday events are on that end of the beach. Also, learning to cut over to Grissom Parkway over to SC 31 makes the drive to the Friday Saturday events not bad at all.
Me and Mike Clay have both booked our rooms and will be at HSS the entire week. Mustang Week would feel odd if I stayed elsewhere.
Oh, and to answer the original question.... Are we ready? Well, the official Program Guide text has been turned in to 5.0 magazine and we are getting sponsorship set up. We have updated our site with the official start/end times for all events as well. Go to the main page and click event overview. Ready... getting there!

The Drag Night is in Darlington SC on Thursday the 17th, about 1.5 hours away from Myrtle.
