Lot of hook 1.3 60 foot time also almost 120 in the 1/8 car is moving. What's it weight? How far from streetable is it?

Not sure on the exact weight. This car is not gutted though (full interior along with rear seats) and has a certified cage with swing-outs custom made by Rhodes. Throw the A/C and power steering back on along with some street wheels and your almost there! lol

It does have a 400 in it though witch can be perfectly street worthy but not very efficient.

The motor is our JDM 302E stroker that takes it from 4.6 to 5.0 and is capable of withstanding 1000+whp. It was a very popular option for the 3V guys back in the day when trying to make over 500whp. The Coyote just made big power even easier...

The blower is pretty much a stock Roush with some elbow porting for use with the SCJ mono-blade throttle body.

Suspension off the top of my head consists of Metco billet lower control arms, CHE brackets, BMR adjustable upper and QA1 single adjustable rear shocks. The springs are either our custom springs or stock rolling on Bogarts w/ M/T Drags.

This was the best run to date with 8s knocking on the door. Again...3V car...TVS 2300

Ive been trying to decide on either a PD, Paxton or n/a build for awhile now and still cant decide.

Good topic. There will be a power adder in my near future and I'm interested to hear the drivability differences. I reallty want turbo's, but I'm not paying $7300-$7500.

Centri is what I'm leaning towards for price and power ability, but I don't want to wait for 4K rpms to feel boost. Already have that in my other car. Maybe a wastegate helps?

never been a fan of a waste gate on a Paxton or procharger

You are spinning the blower hard all the time making a bunch of heat.

Just my 2 cents

besides with a paxton its not like the thing doesnt pull till 4K it makes boost with RPM yes but its not as drastic as a big turbo on a small engine.

We should have our single turbo kit ready to go real soon

Boost with out a belt is the best boost :coolman:

you can get an 8 rib paxton setup with the smallest possible pulley and run a wastegate. but if the wastegate does not open for whatever reason you will pick up pieces of your short block for miles. if you want boost bellow 4k rpm then i think that you would need to look at a pd blower. this motors are pretty good with torque down low but yeah with a centri it aint gonna happen unless you do a wastegate with a tiny puley

eric i thought that if the air was not being compressed it would not heat up. i mean it would heat up to whatever temperature it normaly heats up at set psi but anything over lets say 10psi which is where you would set the gate would just be dumped. air heats up when its compressed but if you are venting it wouldnt it not heat up? i agree that the blower would be spinning to hell all the time but i think that they can handle the extra rpms.

you are right that bleeding off some air and not "compressing" is not generate as much heat.

But.... when you pulley up a centi its going to make heat lets say your spinning 45000 RPM on the blower thats a lot of rpm and its not like the blower its self has a cooling system. its going to get hot and its going to put stress on the blower. we have done little testing on the waste gate stuff but what i have seen it isnt the way i would set up my car. Id rather use a set of gears like 3.73s to help the engine get to rpm faster to make the power. I understand on the street traction is a issue but a good set of tires will help that.

but with all that being said.

a whipple 2.9 on a 2011 is a bad ass car to drive  not the cheapest setup but they get down :coolman:

the debate between centri and PD blowers will go on for 928293 pages. it all comes down to personal opinion and not everyone will agree. I like Both and i am lucky enough to have driven a bunch of cars with alot of different setups. Honestly it all comes down to what you want to do with the car.

carry on :coolman:
