well not if the driver gets arrested...kinda. And if you squint.

+1. I've seen/fixed the results of searches by officers that got frustrated when they could not find something. (ripped down headliner, dashboards removed with the clips ripped out, seat cushions ripped off seat rails) I had one kid with $4k worth of damage to a new jeep SRT8. Of course all these cars smelled like weed even if their was none in the car so I can understand the need to search. But still nobody goes near my cars after seeing that and they are kept immaculate.
Your risk is that the searching officer will suddenly find the contraband that was previously in his pocket, under your seat. Now, my friend, you are in a world of hurt and officially screwed.

Do you actually think you are going to physically stop an officer from searching your vehicle?
Who pays for the damage caused by a search like that? If nothing was found that is.
if you have nothing to hide then whats the issue? .
My ex girlfriend use to always use that line when she wanted to go through my phone and read all my facebook messages. I had nothing to hide but I didn't want her going through my shit.
Just like with a car search, I don't want people going through my shit and making a mess
Never give consent for a cop to do anything.
Then if an officer has reason to ask to search and you say no...you yourself are making yourself look guilty.
And that's the stupidest excuse I think Ive heard in awhile. If you have nothing to hide then there shouldn't be an issue. Sounds like she needed to be an ex anyway
