Decided to build a new one with the release of the 1080 which is amazing, and for BF1, which ended up being a complete disappointment compared to bf4, imo. Can stream and play at 4k with 144 stable fps, highly recommend the 1080, worth every penny. But I wouldn't have built a new one had I known how awful BF1 would be.
Built my new rig for BF1. Wasn't all that impressed with the game at first, but slowly starting to like it more and more. Using a 32" 1080p monitor but so far I'm very pleased with the performance of this build. 4k screen will come sometime soon.
Asus Maximus Hero VIII

16GB RipJaw @ 2400
Asus ROG STRIX 1070 OC Edition

I agree 100% I have the asus 27" PG279Q 165hz 1440p monitor and can't go back to 60hz lol Its so much smoother. Also G-sync is super nice to have as well.Strongly suggest waiting on 4K and instead running some 1440p, something like the ACER Predator X34 or ASUS equivalent, that monitor needs a beefy video card alone to run it.
