Congratulations on the 2.9. I've thought about polishing the snout on my 2.3. Does the snout just pull off once you remove the bolts holding the snout to the housing?

Brent,
Yes it comes right off....however it is sealed. You will need to lightly tap it with a rubber mallet to loosen it after bolts are removed

ok, easy off heavy duty oven cleaner applied to eat all the anodizing off. Here is what a snout looks like after an easy off wipe down. She is ready for 400, 600, 800, 1000, 1500, and 2000 wetsanding starting later this week. Then hit it with a drill buffing wheel with some Meguiars Billet polish. You guys will be seeing nose hairs in this after I'm done. I did this to my old gen 2 2.3 (now Kevins blower).....at the Nov cars and coffee....i had 3 different people ask me if it was chrome, I proudly said "nope"!

Eric, is polishing the snout any different than polishing a catback?
Are you just hand sanding it with sandpaper sheets?
I've seen this done to a KB and have considered doing it to mine

Yep. Pretty much the same process as the exhaust.

Looks good bro. Can't wait to see that beast in person.
