Going to be changing out the stock throttle body. But I'm unsure of what one to go with. 65mm, 67mm, big oval? Would like to go with the big oval but I've heard of some issues with the tune for it. Any thoughts?

Just tonight I just installed the frpp res delete. Airaid filter and ford 65mm throttle body. No tuner.

I dynod this on my dynojet Dyno

Stock was 579
Frpp and afraid filter was 604
Frpp, airaid, ford 65mm was 633.

Now adding a proper tune would net quite a bit more I'm sure. I just wanted to see how it would perform with simply bolting on the parts.

Only issue is Its a 2013 gt500 convertible and Dyno run in 4 gear will shut me down at 6300 rpm at 155 mph So there may be a few more hiding once the tuner goes on and I can pull to 7000 in 4 gear.

It runs perfect. No issues at all. Air fuel is too rich at 10.5-10.8 with the stock tune. I can tell the torque picked up from 2000-4000 range.

I have a sct x4 tuner and this coming week will be installing
Lethal Off road h
Ati 10% lower
K100852hd belt
JLT carbon cold air
170* thermostat
John Lund tune.

Hoping to see over 700 at the tires.

On two separate cars (13-14) we picked up 20 rwhp over Cobra Jet 65mm with our VMP Twin Jet 67mm at Shelbyfest. No surging, no failsafing, just power.

I used both the FRPP twin 65 and mono on my 07, the twin ran great even w/ out a tune, the mono was a bitch to get dialed in and I was about to swap back to swap back to the twin when I finally got a tune that worked.

Had the FRPP twin 65mm on my 11, upgraded to the mono-blade, gained @ least 20 additional hp, if not more.
( both units made by Accufab )
...As mentioned here in post # 10, and in other threads.....issues with the mono-blade turn out to be " tune " related.
Twin 65mm flows 1517 cfm.
The mono-blade flows 1797 cfm
.
Pic is of my 11, my 14 is in the shop currently & will be getting a mono-blade also......extremely happy with it's performance.

+1. This is what I remember reading about most (all?) reports of surging, which seem more tune-related than hardware-related. Choose your tune carefully...

Thanks for posting results John.
It would be interesting to load the tune and test that before the other mods.
I can't imagine having my own Dyno to play with:rockon:

VFORCEJOHN is right on! A buddy and I saw similar impressive gains with the FRPP 65MM, absolutely no issue's at all.

I am running the CJ65 as part of the 13-5 kit from Revan Racing. In combination with the Lund tune you really notice the difference in throttle response! Driveability is like stock, very smooth!

Don't fall for the hype. From everything I have seen there is no power difference between a 65mm and 67mm. I have the 67mm and make nearly identical power to those with the 65mm.
