Beautiful Redfire man. I miss mine a lot! Finally!!!
First drive since last November! Just need to get all this old 91 fuel out so I can switch to ethanol. Come next winter I'm storing it with E85...
Put almost 50 miles today.

What made you go that route over a studded set up?Finally picked up my crank from the machine shop. Had it double keyed, had the snout drilled and tapped for a LS damper bolt. Should handle all the power now.
Now it’s time for me to re-assemble this thing with all the goodies I’ve been storing.

Thank you. I'll have to make note of that when it comes time to get some machine work done.I asked the machine shop if they were familiar with studding it. They said no, and there is minimal correct info on the web about it. They recommended the LS bolt mod. Stock is a M12 bolt, the new bolt is 9/16". Looks massive compared to stock bolt. The crank is now tapped down to the oil passage in the first main bearing. So it will be just like the stud mod. The new bolt requires 235 ft-lbs to tighten it. The new IW pulley is going no where now.
I hadn't heard of that option. Definitely sounds like it will handle what you're planning. Your build is coming along nicely.I asked the machine shop if they were familiar with studding it. Tackling the alternator, new rotors, and such on the black coupe. Yeehaw.
