Wow Ken that car is flying.. what changed to get down from 10.4 to 10.2? thats a huge jump with the same stock torque converter. totally sucks that the pump gears failed, but you have earned even more respect, you have tested the limit and found it. sure it may have been tolerances or who knows what and other pumps could last a lot longer but JPC also was saying the gears are a good idea too. please post pics of the tear down.
can't wait to hear about what cam's ya'll will run in the new engine.
oh and ps. keep an open mind about the gtx3071r i know its overkill, but hell when we are forking out $$$ its all overkill !
Only difference was ditching the stock catback. It was killing the car which can be expected at this power. Yeah, JPCs went on the dyno so they were able to swap it. There have been quite a few pumps go on the high power stock cars for sure.
It will be awhile for the teardown. For the new engine we are starting with a different engine so we can leave this engine in to finalize the kit. Need something in there for fitment etc.
