Thanks for the heads up Butch! I can see that happening easily there is not a lot of room and that harness could get pinched. I disconnected my illumination because after I found the main problem - loose wire harness - there was another issue my dome light would not turn off no matter what. so when I disconnected the power to the illumination system the dome light works properly now. I'm too scared to mess with the wires again!!! so no illumination for me

My friends car had a similar issue, turned out to be a pinched wired for the lights in the sill, where they clip in. Which blew the fuse to the alarm, factory installed alarm had its own fuse under the dash where it was mounted. Good luck.
