I'm thinking of getting a set of these to hunt down my 10 second slip. 17x4.5 in the front and 15x8 in the rear with a 28"x9" bias ply slick. Should be enough to hold 630hp?

My question is this. I'm running a 27.6" tall tire right now and ran through the traps @130.5 mph on my street tune. My car is a 3.31 gear and I'm not running the boss intake...It's a novi 2200 car with a wastegate setup so I have more TQ.. Will going to a 28" tall tire hurt me or will the .4" difference not really be noticeable? I'm thinking with my 100 octane race tune and the lighter wheel combo I might see 3-5 more mph in the 1/4 and I'm banking the slightly taller tire will help.

Thoughts?

a full slick is going to grow a bit on you too. if your looking to pull a little gear out, then yes, if not, then go with a 27", this is where things get tricky and trial and error come into play. lol

Hmmm I wasn't thinking about it expanding. How do you calculate that lol? Is it safe to say you'll add an inch to the tire at 125-135 mph? A tubeless bias ply that is.

I have the 94s on my car and like them. The fit is perfect and there pretty light. Sure there not the quality of the Welds but shit there half the price. I don't like the look of any of the race wheels that are out so I wasn't going to pay the Weld price for something I wasn't crazy about.

I would think a 28" would be fine with the wastegate. I run a 28x10.50 m/t stiff wall with a 3.8 pulley. It traps 124.5 and crosses at 6550 on 3.31 gears. You should be able to calculate growth from those numbers.

Where did you buy from? I was going to do American Muscle but the don't carry a 28" tall front runner bias ply. Just the 26". Won't that cause too much rake and hurt the launch?

Is it possible that I may not have to cut the sway bar bracket with a 15x10 racestar wheel I know I read somewhere that someone did not have to cut their oe sway bar bracket with a 15x10 racestar
