Not a great pic, I dont like the 15/17 look so I went with with the 17x4 and 17x9.5 rear with the 185/55 M&H radials and 295/45/17 MT drag radials. Downside is the 17" rears are kinda heavy, the tires are 30lbs and the wheels are 20 so they are only like 6lbs less than the stock 19s, fronts are 25lbs less each though :) I will just use them at the dragstrip.

Your car looks great! This is the same wheels I'm looking for. Does anyone sell the entire setup as a package deal?

'13 GT with Brembos. Dark Star 17x4.5" front with 185 M&H, 15x10 with 275/60 MT Drag Radials. It's still on stock springs in this picture. I've got some BMR springs for it that'll hopefully get put in next weekend, if I get time.

ill be buying tires for my dark stars tomorrow. 17x4.5 in front and 15x10 for the back. I am not sure which tire size to go with for the rear. Im between 295/55/15 and 275/60/15 MT et street DRs. What do you guys think will perform and look better?

DTL you car looks great. mine is white also so i could imagine how mine will look. can you post more pics? also a pic from the rear to see how the tires look from the back.

I don't have any more at the moment. I'd run out to the garage, but the rear end is out of the car right now getting 9" ends put on and the tubes welded. 275s don't look huge, but they look good. 295s will fit fine as well. A couple friends of mine run x275, so I get slightly used tires cheap (free), so I stuck with that size. Besides, guys have gone 4.77 in the 1/8th on a 275 tire. There's not really any excuse for cars of our relatively low power levels to need more tire than that!!

yeah i want to see if i scratch the 10s. i just dont want the 275s to look to thinn from the back. i doubt that there is much of a traction difference between 275 and the 295 tires.

what does everyone have to say about the M&H Race masters? are they worth the extra cash over the MT? do they hook better?

What tire is being used for the 17x7 wheel? Was looking at the 17x4 1/2 but the M&H's seem a little steep.

Here's mine. Race Star 94 series. 17 by 7 fronts with Cooper 215/55 and 15 by 10 rears for the track with MT 275 Pros. The fronts only weigh around 10 lbs each more than my 15 by 3.75's did and ride a lot better. I noticed no decrease in performance by going with the wider fronts either.

Heres the street version. Same fronts with 18 by 11 rears wrapped in Nitto Nt05 305/45 18's.

the 275 mt pro will hook better than any 275 tire out there.

have plenty of racestars in stock, the 92 series 15x10 are on back order, the polished have come in

here are some pics of the 92 dark on Dorothy and the 94 on the boss

Anyone have 60' comparisons between the 15" & 18" rears with comparable tires?

that's really not going to be an accurate comparison

on a relatively stock car, you will be about the same,

as you progress into higher hp cars, especially boosted, the 15" is always going to hook better

I'm just curious how much better the 15's are, but I understand that depends on the car. Mine has twins so probably pretty difficult to find a comparison that would be relative. I just wonder since most the twin cars dont leave that hard anyway that maybe a 18 would not hurt as much...
