Specs will be decent, 10spd auto with the PP (with good tires for once) is going to be a fast car. It will gain 20-30HP and now has a digital cluster. Will be interesting to see if the price jumps. Will only be around for two years though, these are the specs that should have been in the 15-17 cars. A base PP car with the auto may run $44,000 or more.

Hopefully the 15-17 aftermarket keeps booming.
I think the HP bump actually might be a bit higher than that.

DI could be worth 5-10HP and a point of compression is worth 4%, not including the raised RPM and the bigger valves.

This could be a 475hp car.

The styling update is absolutely gross. What a let down. One can only hope that Ford does what Ford usually does ... that the high-performance variants of the refresh get better looking as you go. Otherwise .... yikes

front front angle view the rear spoiler looks like the GTRs.

not digging the front bumper at all or the heat extractors. other than that, its ok.

digging the 10 speed auto and upgraded manual as well. also the magnetic suspension availability as well but im scared to see what a fully optioned car will come out to. probably cost more than the GT350

475hp you say? Not a chance.

455 hp tops.

I don't know that Ford would bump it all the way to 475, but its certainly possible with DI and a 12:1 compression ratio (found on another site). I think it will be in the 460-465 range, so they can tweak the tuning later and get an easy spec bump.

455 is on display in one of the dash images.. As in 4th gear and 55MPH.

One also shows 7th gear and 55mph.. Perhaps the GT500 will have 755hp.

There were other Easter eggs hidden in the gauge cluster as well.

That's a really good point.

That would be cool if it was true lol.

Any chance the referenced changes to the manual transmission ("totally redesigned ... for more torque ...") imply Ford has swapped out the MT-82 that came with the Coyote engine for something else (and hopefully better)?

I bet it's the gt350 set-up. Dual mass flywheel and twin disc clutch..... just like the 350..... wouldn't be surprised if the TR3160 is under it.

Why does it sound like shit? Are they trying to make the V-8 sound bad so we don't miss it when there aren't any available?

Still European style in my opinion. I thought Ford lost touch with the style starting with the 15 model. Of course they still have a few years before a body style makeover. This one will be around for awhile with minor changes until then.
I can't believe the 15 and up model have gotten so much attention.

I guess I'll have to reserve judgement till seeing one in person.
Right now I don't love it, but I don't hate it.

Are we actually getting real oil pressure, and engine temp readings? No more dummy gauges? Thats kind of exciting.

After watching vid again it looks as though the cluster is mostly all digital, along with analog gauges in the center stack.

So a few "easter eggs" I'm betting on for the next GT500 (not sure if this has been posted anywhere else):
7th gear at 55mph = 755hp
289 miles = 4.8 V8
11:17:11 = 11/11/17 is when we'll know more about it
And for fun, I like the mileage :)

Edit: I see HISSMAN said pretty much the same thing.

Just read that the Coyote got Direct and port injection. Excellent, hopefully the strategy for the port injectors will keep the intake valves clean.

Boost lovers, congrats. You can turn the timing up now with direct injection technology.

Have they release official power numbers? I admit i didnt look

I think it's ok, need to see in person. I was on the fence when the 2015 photos were first released. Drove to the dealership to see for myself, drove home in a new 2015 5.0.
