I suspect a lot of the EV haters have
A) never driven one or
B) if they have, it was a Chevy Volt or similar because the don’t hand out Plaids for test drives or
C) they are just resistant to change.
EV’s are coming and there isn’t much the general public can do about it. Sure, some of us of o certain age won’t have to buy one and I am one of those that has never owned a vehicle that didn’t have a V8 but our kids or grandkids won’t have a whole lot of options if buying new. An EV as they are today would not work for me mostly because of range issues and that is greatly affected by the cold winters here, I am positive that the technology will change that in the future but it isn’t there yet. An EV with a 500 mile range in the winter could change my V8 ways
