News flash. 30 yr bonds are really just stuck in a range. We just went from the bottom to the top in short order. Gets harder from here.

The curve just experienced the biggest ome day shift in your or your parents lifetime. Maybe your grandparents.

The dollar amounts that moved were epic.

But yeah, no big whoop.

March 2022 bonds were 160.
June 22 bonds 131, drop of 29 full points.

Thats the break that probably put these banks and most of the rest of the world holding any duration of federal debt in the dinger.

Dec 15 of 2022 bonds were 131
Dec 30 of 22 bonds were 124, drop of over 7 points in 15 days

Feb 2, 2023 bonds were 132.22
March 2, 2023 bonds @ 122.20, drop of 10 full points.

This Friday low to Monday spike high was 126 to 133, and the market has already given back 2 full points.

Yes, the yield curve has had a massive swing and poor people have reacted like clockwork out of fear while big money players lead them to slaughter.

During most of this Fed rate raise cycle the 3-month treasury was a better yield than CDs and now short CDs have the edge because the banks have finally been called to the table.

As we sit today, this is most certainly not the biggest financial event of my lifetime, or even of the last year unless absolutely poorly positioned.

To quantify, today's move in the 2 yr was a 14 sigma event. Google this if you do not know what this means.

Nailed it.

"The analysts named San Francisco-based First Republic Bank as their top pick for 2023, followed by San Antonio-based Cullen/Frost Bankers Inc. in second place. Santa Clara, Calif.-based SVB Financial Group, Dallas-based Comerica Inc. and Nashville, Tenn.-based Pinnacle Financial Partners Inc. stood in third, fourth and fifth place among their top picks, respectively."

Funny enough I have never had any. Also there seems to be a difference of opinion on this. I hunt with guys in TX and they will not even touch it. The compared it to eating coyote.

There is another group that I hunt with in OK and they love it.
I fly a lot of hog hunts on the red river near Broken Bow, I’ve never seen anyone eat the meat. Curious, who do you fly with when you’re here?

You hating Donald Trump is the least shocking thing I will experience this year.
Keep your mask on your boosters up to date stay home stop the spread and continue to blame everyone for your shortcomings.
In full irony - Barney Frank, co-author of the bill, was a director of SVB
