Looks wise I love the style bar but is it worth drilling holes into my panels on a 13,000 mile cobra? Just want some opinions of people who have the styling bar in their 2003-2004 cobra.
I do NOT have one in my Vert, but I want one. Like you say they look GREAT!!! I say install it and cut the holes. The person who buys the car from you (if you ever decide to sell) can always buy the panels from a wrecked car and install them if they want to remove the bar.
Also, I do not think installing a styling bar will hurt resale value. I would have preferred my Vert come with the bar already installed.
The only thing I would do is make sure the bar has the brake light in it. But, that's me.
I couldn't imagine mine without it
Problem with that is lights up the cabin with top up at night
Absolutely, every vert needs one. Install was easy and straight forward.
I have the light and it only works when the too is down
My wife and I must be the only people that dont like them. I will say if you are tall there is a good chance your seatbelt guide on the seat will hit the bar.
I did help a buddy install one and it was a PITA for such an easy piece. I also hate that you have to drill holes in the front side of the factory plastics so you can tighten bolts for the bar. The kits come with plugs for these holes but 9 times out of 10 you see cars with the plugs missing.
i installed it with all the pieces that come from cdc, nothing more. yes the plugs just pop in and out.Do you have a kill switch that you activate when the top is up? Also, do the plastic plugs just come out? I definitely am not going to selling my original plastics. If anything I will keep these because they are so mint and buy some from a roller or part out.

Yes, the plugs can come loose, and yes, you should change your seat belt loops to the 94-98 version, but it is so worth it looks-wise. As others have said, they are a "must have" for any sn95 vert.
Edit: i got one without the light.
