I have owned my GT500 for 5 years now and I just decide to join.
I made 713WHP with a 2.3R but that wasn’t enough so earlier this year I put in a built iron block, comp cams, and ported heads.
Hoping to make 1000whp with my 2.65R on 17lbs and pump E85. Can’t wait to put the car on the dyno next month. Cheers

Smart. I never understood why more people don't build iron block s197 gt500s. Soooo much cheaper and VERY strong.

1000 should be no problem for you. Get some video.

Some say it is best to put stickers in your rear window so everyone knows what they are dealing with.

Pics of your ride?
Decals? I assume you are joking?

713 is what a stocker makes at 15s on e85

cams, ported heads and 2 more lbs of boost id expect somewhere around ~850rwhp depending significantly on how well they ported the heads.

Why not kick her up to 24lbs ?

Because 1000whp is the goal and I think it will do it on 17-18lbs.

Why not? I have FIC 1440s and triple pumps.

Because there are examples out there of what hp people make on given blowers at given boost levels. You don’t have some magic wand or secret sauce to do what nobody else has done.

EVs are for people that prefer flesh lights over vagene.

Not at 17 lbs. Maybe 875-900 whp on corn. Depends on which dyno ur using and what the outside temps were that day.

Its a stick shift so its gonna read much higher than an auto so the numbers will be inflated slightly but a 1000 whp at 17 lbs is gonna be a stretch..... but maybe not being a stick shift as it does have headers as well.

Should give new GT500's a run for their money for sure.

What compression and which cams?
I make 1100rwhp with a Gen 3R on E85 at 23-24#
