The house that I grew up in had a trolley track that used to run literally 15' from the house in what would become our driveway. The trolley stopped running just before I was born, I believe. The track & trolley were very similar to the one in the last photo.
That's a interesting bit of history. Bought them to shut them down so you'd have to buy one of their vehicles?

That is an interesting failure. And that con rod is quite beefy. Wonder what that came out of?
Out with the old and in with the new…160k the strut, upper ball joint and sway bar end links were wore the **** out
